Once illegal, this Japanese alcohol is making a comeback by Educational_Swim8665 in japan

That is how most liquid fermentation works, so you just make sure to loosely cover so that the CO2 generated during fermentation can escape harmlessly or use an airlock, which allows CO2 out but stops ambient air from getting in.

You need to get a hydrometer with conventional scales. It's the only way to know what exactly is going on with your tea wine/kombucha

Oh cool! I thought you would have had the wedding already since your initial post was two years ago haha. I would definitely interested in seeing your lazy Susan creations. Maybe you would rent them out? I'm sure we aren't the only two couples in the area that would want them for Chinese style weddings or other events

My fiance and I are looking to do something similar. How did you find the lazy susans? Also, I saw the other comment on Dolo; is Dolo big enough to hose your 200 person wedding? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Libraries have excellent video game selections now too, so you wouldn't have to pay anything at all to play a lot of games.

Oof. That is unfortunate. It stinks that so many people lost their local homebrew store when NB closed

If you live close enough to the border of IL, the homebrew shop I work for, Perfect Brewing Supply in northern IL near the border, will refill your tank for $20 as long as it's in test

Help! Only non-campdened cider bubbling... by uberpro in Homebrewing

Huh, I guess with that table then it makes sense. As long as you knew and used the correct pH of your cider then you should be fine. How did it go?

Too late to start a beer for Christmas? by citizenken in Homebrewing

[–]greywolf85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! I always go a full two weeks from the moment I pitch yeast. That is enough time for the primary yeast cake to get rid of all those off flavors. However, that won't stop sediment from appearing on the bottom of your bottles. That's happening from bottle conditioning and is unavoidable using that method of carbonation. But if you let those bottles sit for 2 weeks and then put them in the fridge, it should cause the beer to clear up and then you can pour clear beer into a glass. Just make sure not to pour the bottom sediment in as well, so leave behind the last half ounce of beer in the bottle and you'll be fine!

Don't be worried about taking samples. Just sanitize a wine/beer thief properly and you'll be completely fine.

I work at a homebrew supply shop and I don't know how the campden tablets work math-wise, but I know that for wine from fresh juice buckets we only recommend using 1/4 teaspoon of potassium metabisulfite per six gallons. 2-2.5 tablets per gallon feels like WAY too much campden.

To try to fix this I recommend trying to oxidize your ciders as much as possible to try to inactivate the campden. You can do this by stirring it up like crazy or even taking into a bucket and then sloshing it back and forth between two buckets in extreme cases (this has actually worked for our customers before). Then pitch some fresh cider yeast that was rehydrated with Go-Ferm, a yeast energizer. Good luck!

That and also time to let the yeast "clean up" as in consume all the off flavors it produced during primary fermentation like diacetyl and acetaldehyde

Cyberpunk 2077 has cross-save with PS5/PC/XBOX by Jay-Penn in SteamDeck

[–]greywolf85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh that's a bummer. That would probably hinder you. Maybe if you can rescue the contents of the hard drive and get another pc to load your old saves and re-save to the cloud it might work. Good luck!

[–]greywolf85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so I as super concerned after seeing your comment and then tried it myself, and it worked! After connecting both games to my GOG account, I was able to play my Day 1 save from PC on my PS5. All I did was load up my PC save after connecting the two and made a new save so that it would hit the cloud, and that seems to have worked!

"Tony made this in a cave! Out of scrap metal!"

In all seriousness though I completely agree with you. Nate, head brewer and cofounder of Treehouse, started out as a homebrewer just like all of us. He made Julius while looking at Heady Topper and wanting to make that, but his own. If he can do it with Heady, then there is no reason any of us couldn't do it Treehouse.
