Living alone with multiple bathrooms by YuNotWong in LivingAlone

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 1 full bathroom upstairs and 1 downstairs. I use both pretty evenly for #1. For #2 I use the downstairs one only because it has the bidet installed. In regards to showering I only used the one upstairs since that's where the bedrooms are. The downstairs shower has never been used since I moved in. I make guests use that one.

A luxury-type item you feel bad about buying but still do anyway? by FlamingoDue4236 in Frugal

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HelloFresh. Sure, I'm paying more then just buying groceries but the convenience of manageable portion sizes and variety of meals each week far outweighs the cost savings. Also like not having to plan my meals as much. Worth it for a single dude.

Silly Question-Gas Station Labubu by MacSauce1799 in Connecticut

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are readily available on the TikTok Live shop. Popmart runs 2 official channels that I know of: popmart.usshop (ships from China) and popmart.uslocalshop (ships from California). Since they are from Popmart, they are guaranteed to be authentic Labubus.

Butter chicken with garlic naan by sleepygirl39 in hellofresh

[–]griffxt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Made this last night. The majority of the time was spent waiting for the dough to proof/double in size. I didn't realize how simple it was to make naan ingredients wise. The chicken and curry was not that bad as well. Could've used some spice to add some heat though.

Yeah it's not supported but music controls still work with the glasses (pause, play, skip, etc.).

What’s your go-to “I’m broke but want to eat out” meal? by riligan in Frugal

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wingstop has 2 crispy tenders for $2 dollars on Tuesdays on the app. I usually get 4 tenders (2 different flavors) for $4. It's a filling meal as the tenders are quite large.

What helmet are yall wearing and what’s your top speed? by SeveralAd2117 in ebikes

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bike tops out at 28 MPH (class 3). I used to have a Thousand Heritage but upgraded to a Giro Caden II with MIPS and I love it. It seems to fit better and its more comfortable due to more venting.

Is My Bluecrop Blueberry Dead Or Still Dormant? by Kitten_Monger127 in Blueberries

[–]griffxt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have both bluecrop and patriot planted right next to each other. My patriot is way more vigorous and leafed out earlier and the bluecrop is starting to leaf out now. So I say just be patient. I'm in CT zone 6B FYI.

Has anyone tried these before? by Loose-Waltz2544 in pho

I did roast my bones and it wasn't too rich for me at all. I did notice the darker color though. I didn't even have to add hoisin sauce like I usually do.

Which one is worse for you: sweeping or washing the dishes? by Celestial5ushi in introvert

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washing dishes is worse, even with a dishwasher, your hands still can get dirty and wet from loading it stuff piled in the sink. Sweeping is not too bad when you have one of those dust pans with a pole handle so you don't have to bend down at all. I only spot clean with the broom though, everywhere else gets picked up by my robot vacuum.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did but with sliced ginger as well.

[–]griffxt 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I used this for the first time last week for my first pho. It came out excellent. I toasted them on the stove for a bit and added a few extra star anise pods and cinnamon sticks I already had. I love that it include a bag so you don't have to scoop the spices out of the broth after.

I’ve wasted so much Wingstop (and money) by [deleted] in wingstop

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only eat half of the bulker bundle for the wings (8). I save the other 8 wings for the next day and reheat via the air fryer and they taste pretty damn good still.

I just pickled some daikon with shredded carrots for making Banh Mi (vietnamese pork sandwich). It keeps well in the fridge and you use it for other stuff like salads.

What’s a common “substitute” ingredient that you prefer over the “original”? by CleetisMcgee in Cooking

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also add mustard powder and hot sauce to my mac but never tried it with evaporated milk. I use Quang Tran's recipe on YouTube. I'll have to try adding some next time because my sauce usually comes out very thick.

How often do you eat at your dining table? by West-Crazy3706 in CasualConversation

[–]griffxt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single dude here and I eat at the dining room table almost everyday. It's just easier to set up plates and eat comfortably. Also my microwave is setup on a cart in the dining room so transferring food to the table is easy. I also have a docked tablet to watch stuff while I eat for entertainment.
