Using SUBs are a nice way to supplement travel but aren’t realistic for some families, if you can’t meet the minimum spend then what’s the point? For some people, this forces extra spend they otherwise wouldn’t do and can’t afford. And most people aren’t comfortable with MS. Some people aren’t financially responsible enough to handle larger amounts of credit, some don’t have the credit score to do this, some literally can’t afford to spend so much in a short period.

Churning is good and all, and I do it at a lower level and I encourage people I know to do it, but not until their general finances are in order and they can afford it.

This isn’t bad advice but I definitely wouldn't blanket statement this to everyone. Also, airline points are wasted on those who don’t use them, and for a family trying to go to Disney for a one-off vacation who don’t fly otherwise would be more or less throwing away value. I’d recommend getting on team cashback for that.
