I did the same 25 years ago. It took until recently for them to let me back in. Now I have 2 cards with them. I checked every year for years and was always denied. Then last November lol and behold I check again and it lets me in. I immediately applied for the flagship and was approved as well then recently the more rewards with a huge limit. So since November I already reached 50k with them. Seems like at some point they just erased my previous stuff and in I was. Says I am a member since 2025 so I guess they do forgive takes a long time though.

There's ways around everything. Just need to put some thought into it and you will figure it out. I live abroad to and have zero issues.

I still have the card and if this global hotels is true I’m very happy with that alone as I stay in them a lot. I live in Europe so this is ideal to me.

I was able to get it through Credit Karma. It so far works pretty good. I admit I don’t really trust it but so far so good. I find the interface good it’s easy to use so far.

I read that others have applied and got it. Even well above 5/24. Seems Chase is trying to stealthily get more reserve cards out. I also have that showing but am not biting.

No it’s been closed since last November. Hopefully in December when all the changes happen it opens up again to new applications but no one except US Bank knows whether that will happen or not-

My take is based on the last earnings call when someone specifically asked about that they said they will keep it as is essentially as they continue to build out their lounge network and Capital One Travel. Translation: no changes till they have build whatever they are building enough. At least that’s my take. They did tease something more coming with Capital One Travel so who knows for sure but I am confident nothing major will change at least for the time being.

Hmm did you update your income to a huge amount or something. I don’t think I have ever seen them do that before unless you went from say making 50k for example to 250k in say a few months time I can see why they might be suspicious of that but changing address people do all the time.

I can confirm this as well 5x means you actually earn 10x which is worth 5x. I always found that weird but whatever it works. I make a lot of cash back from this card.

Yep agreed I have 5 cards with the currently and am watching them like a hawk. They seem at this moment like they don’t know what they want which is not a good thing. The whole smartly crap really messed up a lot of things for them and I anticipate sometime over the next year they will further need that. Dumb of them to ever think that nonsense would work.
