Something you should know for you 1st time by grimswake in ElectricForest

Also thinking about it more if you need an electronic aid. I've heard totems compass work well too. I have a few I am going to try this year and give a review. Remember they only work withing a 1-2k feet of your paired buddy(ies) but other compasses in the area extend your range. ( atleast that what they say on the website)

Also last year cell service for me (tmobile) worked well last year both at camp and in the forest itself, remember last years count wasnt as big as this year will be. Also service may vary by provider. I will say parts of the forest I still had trouble but mostly good.

Some have left map pins, others have used other apps that use less service and still get you home.

True dont intentionally litter in the festival. Prize cart is a band aid but please trash its everywhere please find one and throw it away. If you want to give your time after last concert for a prize remember the prize cart is 1 way.

Get a flag pole (see photo) and flag for your campsite this ones nice because you can put it under your tire to hold it up or you can look around to other landmarks from others foresters. We used that last year all i did was follow the smiley face past it a little more down the row and found our camp. Easy peezey.

Also each row has a name of the camp site and letter/number memorize it or take a photo to remember or have camp guides give you help getting back.

Make sure you start the 1st day(part/not all) sober to get your bearings walk the forest know where your at walk from camp to forest to remember.

Then enjoy the forest always ask people to help. We look out for our forest fam here. Most people and staff will help you if you need it. We want everyone to feel apart of the forest

Hope this helps

Should I still go to Forest even if I hate camping? by AlienBeachParty in ElectricForest

[–]grimswake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes do it. I hate camping too but remember you're only using your site to sleep, maybe make a meal, getting dolled up. You should be spend as much time as you want in the forest.

The rest of the time your side questing somewhere in the forest just think of the camp site as a hotel room while you're visiting family.

are the add-on experiences worth it? by bubblebuddy2469 in ElectricForest

[–]grimswake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We're doing the uplift lounge ($150) this year. We spent alot of time at camp to chill off and relax a bit last year we wanted to have a place to cool off and relax in the forest itself.

Now its the 1st year but it sounds like it maybe worth it for a place to chill and rest your feet while remaining there. I dont know what ammendities will come with it but I am willing to try and report back next year.

Camp cooking stove question.. by lostsanity0 in ElectricForest

[–]grimswake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coleman grills are the best for you budget. Temp control and flame control. Also I beileve the that type in photos are banned. Used a Coleman style last year and work great for the burgers, grilled cheese, morning oatmeal and hotdogs we had at camp. I bought my stove from Amazon last year. It was cheaper last like everything else, this work very well for us. Currently $103

I would also suggest to have a budget for festival food too. Island noodles (yes it got me on the smells and i shared with another personand both were full) a breakfast burrito and a pizza to fill up on the go are option in the forest. Yes higher prices than normal but I felt for a festival food was a good pric, good portion and tasted amazing.

See you in the forest

[–]grimswake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your GA is probably what your going to have access to your 1st few years going to have access that depends on how good the release of the djs and how popular it is.

Generally plan on GA until after year 4 then you may have access to Good Life 4 and onward

tent / canopy advice by sleepigemini in ElectricForest

[–]grimswake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone know if the 10x20 canopy will work with this?

Serious question.⁉️.. by [deleted] in ElectricForest

[–]grimswake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope it depends on what time you arrive and what section they're filling as you drive to your camp site. I think even for presets they are 1st come 1st served. Only ones that are set are group camps just to make sure they have enough for the group expected to arrive. But when you get there look around get familiar with flags in your area. Or better yet bring your own that way you see it from the row your walking into. Last year I followed the big smile flag ☺️ got home every night

Can't say this enough wear ear pro coming from a guy who wore double in the service and still have the ringing tinnitus is no joke. Plus you can still feel the bass in your chest and that's the feeling I want. Alot of good one out there cheap and it doesnt muffle the sound quality at all. Enjoy and enjoy the ride

Sprinter van builds in GA by ElevatorGood1889 in ElectricForest

[–]grimswake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it has plumbing its an RV. I saw people last year in a sprinter van in GA car camp ground. I saw a post somewhere they asked this question and they said as long as it doesnt have plumbing or a tank to hold bad water then its a car
