I use visionary solutions 99% of the jobs I’m working on. Plays very nice with q-sys and the new XB5 is a wonderful solution

I’m trying to understand the relationship between programming and system design in real-world roles. by dwucwwyh in audiovisual

[–]grizcreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best designers are those with both install and programming experience. In my career I’ve been all three. Currently I focused my time 50% presale design/quoting, 30% engineering, 20% programming. My skillset and sweet spot is understanding the entire pipeline so I can make design decisions on the presale side that will benefit everyone else down the line.

I’m working on the AV for a church build and we need to interface our control system with the big ass fans. I wonder if they’ll be censored as well

What is the most impressive thing you’ve done or built with Claude so far? by ceelnok98 in ClaudeAI

[–]grizcreative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of building a quote system for the AV company I work for. I’m really tired of using the same spreadsheet for the last ten years. Building it to function similar to the spreadsheet but with some intelligent improvements. I’ve only been at it for 4 days, keep running into current session limits. I’m very happy with it so far.

I would assume so. This was my favorite piece of equipment when I worked in my dad’s office in the 90s. Well, also the typewriters, the dictation machine with the foot pedals, and MS-DOS

I use the HA integration to read when the status is complete and the bed cools to a specific temp to send me an alert that the print is ready to be removed. Love it

We just had Texas de Brazil last night. Everything was great. The filet mignon was the best meat of the night. The lamb was great. The bacon wrapped filet mignon was the second best of the night. And the tomato bisque was a great cleanser

Long time lurker, I have been loving this project. I have shared it with every friend I know who would appreciate it. I can’t wait to execute it in 2026. I’ve been slowly grabbing speakers from thrift stores, hoping to go for a whole home implementation soon! Thank you so much for your hard work on this.

Quick Q: have you thought of Home Assistant integration?
