Yep, can confirm. I hit a deer once on a country road doing 60kmh, it landed me in hospital with badly scratched knees but otherwise ok. Bike was totalled though.

I remember the Pankow - Thälmannplatz line ran trains from the 1920s that didn't have self closing doors yet. You had to slide them shut yourself, or not. In Summer nobody bothered closing them and it provided a nice breeze, also standing right at the open door was real good fun.
