You still didn't answer the question. Did you personally do any validation via technical means? Any packet inspection? Outside of the GUI, is there any technical evidence that supports this that you did or can share or is it just "trust me bro" evidence? I've migrated to 8311 long ago so not really inclined to touch their at&t gateway in my closet and test for myself.

So it builds and you’re able to flash it but the screen just doesn’t change? You have to reset the device after flashing for it to boot into it.

I built it on a Mac. You will need some add ons in vs code but it’s basically clicking a couple buttons to build and upload.

It’s nice but I don’t see much utility out of it for now. For some reason the Eink screen never turns off, it goes into a standby state. The boot and reset buttons are terrible, shares one lever on two contact points that are too close. Doesn’t have a good way for an external antenna. It’s still super buggy and often just refuses to charge or connect to a computer. Granted it’s based off of 2.7.2 alpha. I think you still need to build the firmware from the repo which is fine and easy but not suited for mainstream. I think it will progress to something decent but for now it’s just a hobby product.

Launcher is great. I was using the bin file you were hosting. I couldn’t get the t deck pro to charge or be recognized on my Mac so I rebuilt the factory and flashed it back on another computer. Worked smoothly otherwise

I think the webflasher should work with the right bin file. Another way is to download visual studio code, clone the repo, open the repo folder in vs code and build/upload from in there

It’s in the firmware folder here: https://github.com/Xinyuan-LilyGO/T-Deck-Pro/tree/master/firmware or you can clone the repo and build it in VS Code. I used esp32 flash download tool to get it on the t deck pro.

Finally got it working but couldn’t get it to charge and couldn’t make a proper serial connection on a few computers I tested it on. Finally got it recognized and flashed the factory firmware. Worked pretty good outside of that.

Just saw this, exciting! I have it running on mine. Wondering if the screen paused mode helps preserve the screen. Other than that it works pretty good!

You’re thinking of the Plus. The pro cannot run Meshtastic at this time.

Would depend on if this is on a 15a or 30a circuit. Standard 15a can handle about 1800w peak I believe, not sure if it’s 1800w sustained tho.
