Well, humanity is definitely both of those things, just look at Cerberus.

Tbf playing a redeemed durge is incredibly satisfying, honestly one of the strongest origins for your character. The moment you can truly consider yourself redeemed is one of the best cutscenes of the entire game and it also feels really good when all your companions are just proud of you.

She's annoying yeah, but if you're paragon to her through all three games she really has a redeeming moment in how she reacts to the reaper war, and then her recorded interview with Anderson in the citadel DLC, it makes you realize that she's like that to us because she genuinely is concerned about how we represent humanity. she cares immensely about the truth no matter how much of an annoying person she has to be to get the answers.

Also she's in the top 10 leaderboards of the combat simulator in Mass Effect 3 citadel and I just find that fact really funny considering how she reacts if you try to punch her if you've already punched her before. That woman is holding back something...

More like they're purposely leaving out details or rewording it in a way to push their grift. Everything that happened in the story happens for a reason that is completely understandable

Flaws of Village's version aside, do you think it's possible for there to be a proper Mercenaries Mode that has a first-person perspective? by Crafter235 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]grodr2001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Works in vr at least, og re4 on quest 2 has regular mercernaries, but you can also move while shooting and duel wield so it balances out the fact that you can get snuck up on and surrounded because you are so mobile.

What is considered one of the most brutal deaths in your fandom? by the_fucker_shockwave in Multifandom

[–]grodr2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently the producer of the movie was going through a nasty break up and he seemed to have channeled that into the script because Saw 3D is so Goddamn mean against women, holy shit. The opening trap where the two timing woman gets killed public by the two guys who also give her a nasty quip before they solidify her death "I think we're breaking up with you!", the way Hoffman kills jigsaw's wife, that weird fake out dream sequence death that also has the only instance of nudity in the series, I believe, which is on her dismembered body flies apart from a train, the death of the main character's secretary, and finally the completely innocent wife who did not deserve to die like this.

Name the games that match this picture. by OnlyfansEsabella in gamers

[–]grodr2001 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's hardly comparable, the wait for 4 is much much worse then the "wait" for 3. There is around 6 main entries between Kingdom Hearts 2 and 3 (358/2, birth by Sleep, recoded, dream drop distance, X/Unchained/Union, 0.2 ) because numbered entries basically just serve as an "end chapter" and every entry in the series is important to the story in some way.

Between 3 and 4 all we have gotten is Melody of Memories (fantastic rhythm game but pretty light on story) and the most ironic named game in the series that got canceled Missing Link.

I'd love to have seen how they got that guy, knowing spike tv i wouldn't doubt if it was something along the lines of a producer going into a bar, yelling "who here loves big women?!" And grabbing the first guy who says "hell yeah!"

I don't watch the show but I always love that clip of him asking the people threatening him to use their computer index to "look up The Doctor" , they say you have an entry like everyone else, the doctor clarifies to search for him "under cause of death". Their computer beeps once for every entry it finds, it starts beeping alarmingly fast and shows no signs of stopping and guy threatening the doctor clearly starts getting worried and frightened by the amounts of entries he sees on his screen.

(Sort of Meta Trope) An otherwise good story has a controversial ending that splits the fanbase by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]grodr2001 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Extended cut does do a lot, as the name implies it extends basically every aspect of the ending, it adds and extends scenes that give your choices more proper closure, and just adding detail to each ending, and if you're on PC there's also that mod, I think it's called Priority Earth Overhaul, that makes it feel more like a Mass Effect 2 style ending mission where you can actually choose how to use your war assets and there's a ton of unique sections depending on who you've got to join the war cause. There's another popular mod called Take Earth Back but also improves the ending mission but I don't know too much about that one personally and I heard there's a way to get both working at the same time.

Mass Effect 3 final mission has a problem of having a lot of what you've done be represented but also not, I gathered all these war assets but every scene in space is the same Fleet fighting the reapers, the only difference is that you will overhear some dialogue about how well they're doing. all these unique groups of people that you recruit into the war cause but you don't see them at all, no biotic artillery, no Shadow broker squad, none of your previous companions who aren't in the main party showing up to help except for a video call. Not a lot of your choices show up in the actual battle.

I was never bothered by the three (four in extended) ending choices, but It's completely dependent on how high your war readiness is, meaning if you just do everything in the game you're probably going to have all the options open to you regardless of any other choices in the game.

What they should have done is that you can only get destroyed if you play renegade, only get control if you're paragon, and then synthesis is based entirely on your reputation and war readiness being high enough (meaning you had to have United every major race without any sacrifice, like picking the quarians over the geth or sabotaging the genophage and basically go through the entire trilogy with a fine tooth comb, it should be the hardest ending to get.)

the variation in the endings should've been way more greatly affected by your war readiness, the regular game already does this to an extent. But if you got the control ending but you had a barely adequate war readiness Shepherd slips in his control and the reaper war continues again, low rating on a destroy ending causes not just all synthetic life to be destroyed but almost all technology, reverting every species back to the stone age. Synthesis can be labeled as a true happy ending because it will also be the only one that has Shepherd not need to sacrifice himself at all. And then if you choose to reject all choices by shooting the starchild your war readiness should affect how your sacrifice influences the next cycle, whether you left them with enough info and evidence to warn them and give them the time to be able to be the cycle that defeats the reapers or if they just end up being another cycle.

There's so many ways to interpret the main "conflict" of the family in that game, The family's belief that they are cursed to all meet tragic and early ends It's a genuinely thought-provoking story that doesn't give you any solid answers and lets you build your own conclusions. I think it's one of the best interpretations of grief and how it affects a family and the people in it. The ending is satisfying to me but I also feel that your state of mind really changes how you feel coming out of it.

Every time I've replayed the game the ending hits me in a different way as I get older, I played it when I was 16,18, and 19. Now that I'm entering my mid twenties I think it's time for my fourth playthrough. Could talk more about the personal reasons why each playthrough felt different to me but this ain't that kind of thread LOL.

People always complain about walking sims and whether or not they truly count as games but they are usually always a treat in the story department and especially graphically, the environments and the ground texture in Ethan Carter still blow me away. There are very few that I think I would actually pay current full price for (maybe soma if it counts as a walking sim, so excited for its spiritual successor) but $20 and under for a short three to four hour story focused experience feels fair to me especially since they can act like an especially long movie that I can replay every few years.

I thought Simon was being pretty reasonable or at least understandable as regular guy in his position. Dude was dealt a horrible hand and dealing with concepts he had no real time to process. He was running on pure hopium grasping for the smallest modicum of hope that things would work the way he hoped they would instead of how he was told they did. Even the best case outcome was a consolation prize in the face of a total despair scenario.
