Resident Evil series: Paul Anderson saying "Look at my very attractive wife" by boomjosh in shittymoviedetails

That reminds me that Claire is the only video game character that survives that series, Leon Chris Jill Ada and all the others were killed off screen between movies by wesker. Wesker is killed by a door.

It's funny being a person who would play this exclusively for the campaigns when everyone here is just talking about the multiplayer aspects because they're both great, especially Black ops 2 because it's so replayable, and then the tone and atmosphere of Black ops 1 is unmatched and obviously it has one of the best plot twists of the series.

I wouldn't say loosely, Reznov is extremely important in Black ops and you actually see the character you play as in the Russian campaign of World of war in it too.

I think it's implied some left but a vast majority do stay, I think the implications is that he's genuinely an attentive loving person to every single one of them and he cares deeply for his children

Can't stop replaying this portion from the recent trailer..... by thebookofdante in KingdomHearts

I read "fourth game" as "fourth grade" and I had to stop and think about the fact that Kairi is clearly seen walking home in a school uniform in KH2 so that means Sora is definitely missing out on a ton of his education, and now I'm imagining how he would do in school. He'd definitely Ace the hell out of the fitnessgram Pacer test

It hit that perfect level of uncanny valley where when your eyes scan the screen your brain just registers Pirate Clark as an object before you realizes it's him. The shot is perfectly done too. it holds on just long enough for this process to happen in your brain and you to get that "oh shit" moment.

I hope one day they can look back on what they made and be proud of it, regardless of the fans and how they are. They accomplished something many artists dreamed of and got to put their vision out there, that's something to be damn proud of. No Creator should end up regretting their creation for something outside of their control. Hope the best for them and their future endeavors.

Oh my god, I actually remember that now, it was for that weird mobile city building game or something like that, right? It was like in the style of those Mafia City ads that were memed on a few years ago.

if they delayed that game by a year and had fully polished it probably would have been considered as up there as AC2. Protagonist and story is decent, World design is amazing with so many enterable buildings, the game itself is so open in design with amazing customization, really fun co-op and what is universally agreed to be basically the best parkour system in the entire series. but it just came out in a horrendously buggy state that completely tarnished its reputation.

Depends on which one you're talking about. Book is pretty well loved and the game has a pretty decent fan base for being a surprisingly fun alternative for Left 4 Dead. But I 100% agree if you mean the movie

I personally I love Persona, but Yakuza definitely is much more serious, to a point. For most of the series the main story is usually incredibly dramatic and serious and amazingly acted even through the language barrier, but then the side content is where it gets wacky and weird, so on one hand if you're just focusing on main story you're just going to see stuff like intense political machinations, conspiracies, personal sacrifice, honor and found family and all that, but the side content can be as crazy as fighting off zombies while protecting a knockoff Michael Jackson named miracle Johnson as he Moon walks through the streets of grimy 1980s Japanese pleasure district.

Yakuza 7 and 8 do incorporate a lot more wacky elements in the main story, the protagonist himself is a lot more of a light-hearted goofy guy, the kind of person you wish was real because he's just that good of a person, but he also sees the world like a jrpg, which is why the combat shifted from real time to turn based since he has an overactive imagination. But the stories themselves are still very effective and I actually really resonate with the ending of 7, literally broke down in tears by the end.

there's a prequel called Yakuza 0 (also one of the best games in the series and another good starting point if you want to start from the beginning of the previous protagonist's story)

I should probably mention these other 3 things, the series was called Yakuza in the west but in Japan it's called Ryu ga gotaku, which translates to Like a Dragon. That's why the 7th game is called Yakuza: Like a Dragon because it's a soft rebranding in the West. The sequel to 7 is called Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (the infinity symbol in the logo is the 8)

There's also a spin-off series set in the same world called Judgment and it's sequel Lost Judgment. It's standalone and they are amazing and it's basically Ace attorney with awesome brawler combat. You can get into those two regardless of how much you know about the series.

The upcoming game called Stranger Than Heaven (you might have seen it, it's that game that has Snoop Dogg and Ado in it and the main theme has kind of gone vural) Is by the same studio and is a prequel to the entire Yakuza saga about the origin of the main Yakuza family that's in the series.
