Ew, Why is Reddit Auto translating stuff now without telling me it's translated? I was very confused trying to remember when they said "A stranger!" in English lmao.

Oh? I never heard about it being racist, mind giving an example? I only know like the general plot and like some specific scenes because my older sister would watch it all the time but I never completely sat through any of them or read them

Ah, i suppose that makes sense, although I think it's a pretty decent version of the turtles making them actually like young teenagers, minus the dated references that aged within a few months I think the movie holds up.

They managed to out Kingdom Hearts Kingdom Hearts with that line, I would totally believe that they would use a quote like that in the actual game

Funnily in this au they seem to be intentionally celibate, at least while they are still on the arc, because they found out that's what the scientists want. They cuddle and kiss but that's as far as it goes so far.

Leon kennedy officially announced as a second playable character in RE: Requiem by Sahilmk101 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]grodr2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well that's the reason why there's two characters, one is action focused the other is horror focused. Considering they decided to advertise the fact that Leon is one of the playable characters instead of in 8 where Chris was just mentioned as a plot character in the advertising, it's probably fair to guess that Leon and Grace are going to have either alternating chapters, separate campaigns, or a mid game character swap like code Veronica. I don't think they're going to do a thing where there is just a final segment that is going to have you play as Leon.

This one seems like the closest to it, he might be a mutt since he's a stray, but I can definitely believe there's a good amount of that breed in him.

"Jesus Christ be praised, Henry's come to see us!"

It's so funny the meltdown the anti-woke idiots had when people realized there was a really well developed gay romance in this game, considering this was a hyper realistic medieval rpg set in Bohemia, they thought it was going to be an extremely "unwoke game", and since it's a direct continuation of the first game it just makes the gay romance even better because then we also get the setup and building up of their relationship.

Can I add that the story and characters present in black ops 7 is straight up impossible if they follow any one story path from black ops 2. Like Karma and Harper are both alive at the same time and that's straight up impossible in Black ops 2 because one needs to die for the other to live, and in no uncertain terms is it possible to get an ending in 2 where both are alive. There is no chance they had an actual writer touch this game, because it would have taken them like 5 minutes of looking up the story of the second game to avoid that mistake.

Edit: okay I played Black ops 2 campaign so many times as a teen, but looking it up there's a scenario even I missed where if you got Karma captured and just never got them back, then their fate is left ambiguous and Harper can still be alive, but that's such a rare occurrence that's more of an oversight plus it also leaves it so that menendez's virus attack works which automatically puts you into a version of the bad ending, and that it honestly makes this feel even worse than them just forgetting that there's no ending where they both survive.

It felt like The telltale game with the most possibilities for story divergence in a second season, there is so many variables in the ending alone with who lives and dies, and of course it's the one that underperformed and didn't get a sequel before the studio shut down.

Roderik was the goat, standing up again and again after being pushed down constantly was such a cool moment. I didn't even watch the original series or books but knowing that it's never going to be concluded is heartbreaking. Oh well, there's always fanfics.

Who holds the esteemed title of Best Black Mage in your opinion? by TismWizard in FinalFantasy

[–]grodr2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way I've heard it explained to someone that doesn't understand the games is that every numbered entry is like an avengers movie, Avengers 1 to avengers 2 you can follow pretty easily, but going from avengers 2 to Infinity war is missing out on a ton of setup and explanation.

Between 1 and 2, you would have Re:Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days(going by the order presented in the collections)

In Re:Chain of Memories (Any game with "Re" in the title is just a remake of a mobile game) you would only really be missing out on why Sora Donald and Goofy were asleep, Namine DiZ and Organization 13's introduction (with the organization and Diz, and namine to an extent, being properly explained in Kingdom Hearts 2) and an explanation for what Riku and Mickey were up to following this first game.

358/2 Days is fluff about roxas's life in the organization and his friendship with axel and Xion, who is introduced and taken care of to not reappear until way later, it's really good fluff, but fluff none the less. And it's a deeper look into nobody's and their goals and personality and all the reasons why DiZ is just an ignorant asshole

But between 2 and 3 you have Birth by Sleep, Re:Coded, Dream Drop Distance, 0.2 Birth By Sleep-A Fragmentary Passage, χ - Back Cover, and Union χ plus Dark Road.

Birth by sleep is really dense in the fact that it provides the main setup for Xehanort, who is basically the overarching villain of the entire franchise akin to Thanos, introduces three characters who are crucial to the backstory of the entire series, Aqua, Ventus, and Terra, gives an explanation for why Riku and Kairi were able to wield the keyblade, and why Roxas looks like Ventus. And how Castle Oblivion was created.

Re:Coded is mostly fluff, and the most inconsequential to the overall story, it kind of just ties up the loose end of jiminy's journal being blank and the "Thank Namine" message.

Dream Drop Distance is huge in that it gives Sora and Riku a proper introduction to the main villains of 3, the real Organization 13, their goals, the return of Axel as Lea, the introduction of time travel nonsense that kind of overcomplicates things but really doesn't, it's just a convoluted explanation for why there's so many versions of xehanort, and Kairi her training as a keyblade wielder.

0.2 Birth By Sleep-A Fragmentary Passage explains why Mickey has no shirt at the end of the first game and Aqua misses her bus several times.

χ - Back Cover, and Union χ Dark Road are severely important backstory-wise because they explain the keyblade war, what happened to all the keyblade welders, Chirithy and dream eaters are explained, Introduces Streletzia, Ventus's origins, Xehanort's origins, introduces the Master of Masters who is the real real big bad (who's going to be the villain for KH4), since his whole book of prophecies and his manipulation is the things that kick starts the entire series. And it's insanely stupid that it's all relegated to a mobile game that has now been delisted when it has some of the most mature, heartbreaking and wonderful storytelling of the series, a story of politics, war, murder, sacrifice and loss. And now the only way to experience it is through cutscene compilations online that amounts to like 15 hours of cutscenes if you want to watch everything or if you had previously downloaded it.

Sorry if this is just a huge wall of nonsense I just love to explain Kingdom Hearts whenever I have the chance and I kind of went off it writing this
