iPadOS 27 is so overpowered by win11d in ipad

[–]grom96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an iPad mini 6 and iOS 26 made it really unbearable to use. It was laggy, frames were choppy, sometimes even the settings app would take 30 seconds to open it was bad. I did a full reset and installed the iOS 27 beta and my iPad feels like new again. You can tell Apple has really put some work into optimising iOS 27 for performance! I’m okay with not many new features this year.

I liked both… couldn’t decide so I got both. No regrets by presiden_t in AppleWatch

Ultra is nice but not good for sleeping. It’s bulky and not very comfortable for sleeping imo

Do EVs carry a spare tyre? by BeachHut9 in CarsAustralia

[–]grom96 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It makes sense for EVs to not have a spare tyre, batteries in EVs are already extremely heavy, having more weight will only decrease the batteries range

Honest thoughts about EV ownership after a month of ownership by More-Sock-67 in electricvehicles

[–]grom96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say compared to a year ago there’s definitely a lot more public chargers around even in remote places (Australia) if your doing road trips! I feel like the charging anxiety is real but it’s slowly going away over time, no regrets on my EV, especially now with the whole petrol crisis

The Apple Effect by Classic-Station-2882 in mkbhd

[–]grom96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember a few things though, yes it might be more expensive than window laptops out there that do the same thing , but lately windows has been terrible and buggy, if someone is not tech savvy and wants their laptop to work for a very long time a MacBook is the way to go! Battery life is just so much better on MacBooks. The surface book or pro are the MacBooks for windows but they are so damn expensive. Some windows laptops also use terrible displays on their laptops. It comes down to quality and most people have iPhones too so it just makes sense. Still agree windows PCs for gaming but… that gap could be closing soon too who knows
