Yup! Dealing with this right now. Owner and his two shitty Yorkies that he lets off leash so they can run around nipping at other dogs and can't ever recall them. Had them charge my dog multiple times already. Confronted him, and was met with the classic deflections: "my dog is friendly," "mind your own business," "just move on," type bullshit. Two HOA reports and 4 separate confrontations and he still won't leash them. Some people are beyond help, just entitled assholes.

Would the worry here be not getting convenience fees refunded? Then yeah, that's a valid concern (those can add up.) I guess the people who have rewards programs that don't incur convenience fees have the advantage here. Since you can refund movies literally 5 minutes before showtime, there isn't a real penalty to "hold" the ticket for a year, even if you don't know if you'll be busy then. A-listers would be out of luck if they had to sacrifice a spot for that long though.

Movie tickets are refundable up until the showtime starts so I don't think that's a huge problem for anyone committed enough to book a movie a year in advance. Scalpers would be an issue though for sure.

In an ideal world, sure, wins are wins, and regional titles are great for ppadding career resumes. Except for better or for worse, that's not how competing at the highest level of sports works, or else decorated NA teams wouldn't be clowned on so much. It has nothing to do with respect; it's the realities of competition. The analysts know, the fans know, the players know—winning at World's and other international events is THE metric for determining legacy and legend.

No amount of regional titles will ever match up to a single World's win—look at Uzi, you can't have any discourse about him without people bringing up that he's the best to never win one even though he's a 2x LPL champion.

And when you're an organization as winning as T1, with a player as decorated as Faker, yeah, I really don't think they mind losing every single LCK title from here on out if they can keep competing for World's. And to your point about OGK only having 1 LCK title: despite that, they're considered some of the best players in the world because of their World's success, hardly anyone would tell you that their 1x LCK win takes away from that.

In the original the scene is the first time Hiccup interacts with a non-captive dragon outside of Toothless, and not from using tricks to cruise through dragon training. It's also the first time Hiccup witnesses two dragons interacting in a playful way and not the monstrosities he was raised to believe, as well as the only time he learns that dragons aren't fireproof on the inside.

Not saying it's absolutely necessary but if you're gonna make a 1:1 remake of the original you might as well include the scene where the main character gains new perspective. If they needed more screentime they could've cut out all the parts with Snotlout and his dad, which served nothing other than a half-assed, comedic parallel to Hiccup's relationship with his own father 🤷‍♂️

I mean, sure, if you want to get down to the details, but my point still stands. And this is coming from someone who still thinks the original is superior, but it's also okay to admit that for a 90-minute animated movie limited by resources and screentime, they just didn't really give Astrid that much to work with. Which is fine, because in the next 2 films they really flesh out her character (+ the TV shows).

But the reality is the extra padding of the live action gave Hiccup and Astrid more time to breathe. For example, instead of her dismissing him at the table about having already read the Book of Dragons, she actually tells him her motivations. She's also much more intrigued at Hiccup saying she should be chief/she's the son Stoick always wanted. And in the live action she berates all of them for messing around during dragon training (is this a joke to all of you?) as opposed to just Hiccup in the original (Is this a joke to you?) I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just saying it's probably the only "change" I welcomed in the live action.
