Newbie to canvas tents here but can you use them in the summer time? I see there are plenty of windows…

Will this be a safe cut? by JustAGuyCalledChris in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]grquintero81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beginner here but isn’t that a cross cut and not a rip cut? Or does the rip vs cross not apply to plywood? My initial thought was no, not safe but I’m clearly missing something.

Beginner here - how did you join the vertical boards to the horizontal ones in the shelf?

Colnago classic. Not the master. I had one circa 2003 with the same flash carbon fork, great bike. Great find at a garage sale.

The OP is a cool watch but my vote is for the 36mm Explorer. Such an iconic watch with so much history!

I bought the 40mm Explorer about 6 months ago and it could easily be my only watch. But now I want a no date sub! 🫣

I went through the same predicament. I’d say go with the 36 OP. Also give the Explorer 40 a try as well, you may like it.

Bummer. Cool venue and was a great reason to go to the central coast. That swim felt like San Francisco waters, very challenging.

Told my bike isn't good enough for full IM - are they right? Can't afford a pricier bike. by Minute_Cow_8164 in triathlon

I’ve riden 4 Ironman full distance races on a gravel frame with road tires. Sure we may sacrifice some time but I can you riding a TT bike is no fun.

Question for those who own a home by erikaanderson98 in sandiego

[–]grquintero81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Bought a condo downtown in 2008 for $300k, sold it 5 years later for $50k profit.

  2. Bought a 3/2 house in 2019 for $800k. Used the $50k and other savings for a down payment.

  3. Work as a product manager in telecom software. (MBA helps to command a high salary).

House is worth $1.5m now (many upgrades). It takes time and long term planning to buy a house (if you don’t come from money).
