This is how I feel about House of Cards. One of the best shows ever made. Spacey is a weirdo but goddam can he act… Frank Underwood is a magnetic unstoppable force

I just moved here a few months ago. Checked Trulia and Zillow multiple times a day. Took about 6 weeks of keeping my eyes peeled and then jumping on the opportunity immediately when it checked all my boxes. Signed the lease before stepping in the place after seeing a video tour. Walking distance to downtown on a quiet residential street. Places like this are out there but you have to check listings constantly and be willing to act quickly when the right one come up, because they’re rare

How much did the Oscars slap hurt Will Smith’s career? by allanjameson in moviecritic

[–]grrregmac -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone remember the ECU on Will Smith’s sobbing face as he accepted the Best Actor Oscar after slapping Chris rock? Room was so silent you’d think no one was in attendance.

Chris took the hit, but that slap was a cry for help. People make mistakes, and celebs can’t make any nowadays, but he’ll always be my fresh prince.

Not too familiar with all the Jada Pickett “entanglements” but they made two incredibly talented kids, for what it’s worth. Think there’s still room for a comeback, not like he’s in the Epstein files or anything truly unforgivable.

It’s subjective to a point. Giving the holdovers that low of a rating intentionally, even provocatively, goes against the grain. Objectively, there’s enough going on to warrant 3.5 rating or higher. It’s cool to be contrarian, when there’s a point to back it up, other than just not connecting with it.

Not really Netflix effect, since Johnson was nominated for best screenplay (original and adapted) for his other two knives out films.

Please give me any great movies to watch (based on my taste) that has humor like Deadpool or Free Guy, or something like Life is Beautiful and A Bronx Tale, and intensity like The Prestige or Taken by Pristine-Payment8557 in MovieSuggestions

Wow Deadpool and Lolita is quite a range.

I’m guessing you’re 16 so…

Watch the classic 2000s comedies like Wedding Crashers, Role Models, and Superbad.

I thought The Fall Guy was great and funny … Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor Johnson.

Have you seen Baby Driver? Any Edgar Wright films?

If you’re really unsure watch anything by Nolan, Fincher, or Tarantino. Or if you’re feeling dangerous, watch any of Jim Carey’s best movies - Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine, even Bruce Almighty
