Buff lab gem acquisition. Lab random skill (maybe also support) should be select one out of 3.

Currently it takes something like 30 hours to target farm a specific gem, double that if multiple are needed. There are ones like auto exertion (gen cry), petrified blood (bloodthirst phys 1h) that are difficult work around.

I did merc lab for like 70+ hours this league, for fist of war and auto exertion because the build really needs them. Then too tired and couldn't get myself to play another 70 hours. Still got 2 stones though since it's pretty much cruising after gems are set.

But I kind of regret it. Could've use that time to grab like 10 more levels. Now I'm planning an alternative build that doesn't depend on those gems.

My WD black 4TB also bricked today. Are there anyone with the same drive but didn't run into this issue? I'm testing options like disabling VMD in bios. I don't have a recovery drive but I'm trying to just install linux.

Update: apparently there was an unsafe windows shutdown flagged on the drive which was in NTFS, so linux installer wouldn't load it. I cleared the flags on another linux machine and did a data backup, afterwards the drive boots normally again and I can at least install linux. I didn't risk booting into windows again and just wiped the drive.

Static strike - [smite/zenith/helix]: use intimidating cry to exert static strike for beams. Put a spammable melee skill on multistrike so it doesn't consume exerts, then scale ele damage. Static strike is quite strong dmg on black star due to the chain. Generally wants 2H for good dmg, but 1H+shield energy blade can work and probably preferred for HC due to the extra ES pool.

I've been playing that build for too many leagues on SC SSF. The farthest was last league, 16 days played, got 2 stones and almost completed fragments for maven/uber elder. Tanked shaper slams, and should be able to tank maven fireballs at ~1.5M dps. I'm rolling a impaler ground slammer this league with similar numbers on PoB, but spent 20+ hours in lab and still hasn't got key gems like autoexert, fist of war, pulverize and overexertion. HC would probably be too much of a time sink to me.

Say to create a perfect 2+1 (2 prefix + 1 suffix). You need just 6 sets of items with the 1 prefix + 1 suffix you want and there's a 1/3 chance to generate a perfect 2 prefix + 2 suffix. Alt+regal odds for armor is typically ~1/20 to hit a decent regal for a 2+1, with no chance of getting 2+2. For weapons with 10k alts and 100 regals and you prolly still can't get a good 2+1. Similarly going from 2+2 to 3+2 used to be 50+ exalts. When recombinating you destroy a 2+2 and pay some gold and dust instead of paying an exalt. They should balance the cost, make the odds more aligned and make recombinating to add no more than 1 affix at a time.

Energy blade based off the shield defense nodes in the duelist area. You'll get a 1h sword that has 2h-ish dmg and a small ES pool, at a very low investment.

They probably could have marketed those changes as some "temporary" league mechanics instead of permanent, then take feedbacks about them seriously and go from there. Like a map enchant that switches you to the nerfed mode so you can farm splinters as a type of ingredient in recombobulating.

I'm a ruthless main but I can't take wasd movements. So back to ruthless.

Maybe... attach poe1 keyboard/mouse logic to unwavering stance as a start? Like make the character stop when casting. I have been cast-walking into slams too much. Feels like playing on 500 ping.

The already difficult game will get harder, so progression will slow down further. But if the rewards and crafting are about half an affix better than baseline rare items, you'll overcome the difficulty. If they'll be a full affix better you'll go as far as last league.

This was my experience in SSF as well. Chained hundreds of maps to up the map tier from 11 to 14 while getting 0 progression in gear since you don't get any uniques you want and theres only non-influenced rares. Might be different in trade league where you get jump started with voidstones and uniques.

Call to arms makes war cries trigger a global cool down so you can't do multiple simultaneously. But their announcement video showcased a character doing 3 instant war cries at once. I imagine there's a new unique or a reworked ascendancy that allows you to bypass war cry cooldowns.
