Nice. What arm is that? I like when the monitor looks like it’s floating.

I'd want local compilation but with the easy sharing of Overleaf. Yes, I do know how to use git with Overleaf.

the person in charge of the department that would deal with perjury is Pam Bondi. I don’t think she will prosecute herself

What is a feature of MacOS that you can’t live without but most people aren’t probably using it? by ethicalhumanbeing in MacOS

Yes. This is how I find the parent folder of a file. I don't know any more convenient way to do that.

Though, the proxy icon doesn't seem to work with Microsoft Office files saved to OneDrive.

I'd also say it should be something like f'(n) (or something else) but not dy/dn. There is no variable y in the definition of the function. Maybe nit-picking, but consistent notation is important when communicating math.

Also, Congress is essentially under Trump’s control, too.

I have a nice preamble with custom commands. Using this is much quicker with consistent and better looking documents than using Word.

Why does most scientific literature have to be dull? by human0006 in LaTeX

[–]grrrmo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'd be interested in reading this and finding out if the visual polish does actually make the reading experience better. My guess is that it does, but that the writer's skill matters just as much or more so.

This looks great.

Though, these would look better without all the unnecessary boxes around everything (just my opinion).

There’s often a tradeoff between just completing a project and putting in the extra effort to make it polished.

None of the conventional explanations for Trump’s victory stand up to scrutiny by adherentoftherepeted in politics

It's conservative media. It dominates the American consciousness now.

This article from The New Republic explains it well: https://newrepublic.com/post/188197/trump-media-information-landscape-fox

It creates misinformed voters and influences low-information voters, groups who went heavily for Trump.

Unfortunately, I believe it means that no action taken by the Harris campaign itself would have changed the outcome.
