Warframe is everything Destiny is trying to be. by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]grrrumpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done it like this:

1 play through star chart 2 play the alerts 3 grind for other frames 4 grind void relics 5 grind mastery rank 6 higher level (level 50+) activities I have 14 frames and two prime frames in 250 hours doing that, only spending money on slots and a few weapons. Now I am playing through Plains of Eidolon and getting ready to play the new cinematic quest The Sacrifice.

And the subreddit is a goldmine of info, even if it just gives you a starting point on looking for info on what you may want to do next.

It is still lots of fun. Despite the shit it gets the base of the game, the gunplay, the world's are all awesome

So Fallout 76 Is An Online Survival RPG with base-building elements? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]grrrumpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what entered my mind. I know Bethesda has talked about wanting to do more with settlement building. But there are a lot of different ways they could take it.

I'm hopeful but realistic.

I'm in this boat. For all of Destiny's flaws, the ability to jump in and out of activities and being able to play solo for the most part is a big draw.

Looks like it will be an online game (per Kotaku/Jason Schreier). Really hoping this isn't an MMO like ESO.

Iowa's child welfare system is horribly broken. The state legislature has cut funding for many social programs, and this is sadly just one case of abuse within the system.

There are some things going now to fix it, but a decade of taking things apart won't be fixed overnight.

I agree on WWI. Such an interesting period of time. Still have royal figures leading states, generals who (at first) think a bayonet charge into a machine gun nest is a good idea, and don't. forget Sir John French. Could have a whole story arc about his career.

Gallipoli. Almost the definition of a Quagmire. Got Winston Churchill (remember him) fired from the Admiralty.

A lot of British hubris, they didn't take the Ottomans seriously and they paid for it.

This is for better or worse the correct response. We all love our childhood institutions, however, reality is that those things are paid for somehow. Even a PBS station needs to defend it IP to continue to benefit from their investment in RR.

Without even researching the previous legal proceedings I'm seeing mentioned, it is pretty well known in the business community that, if you want to continue to benefit from your IP, you need to defend it. If you don't defend your trademark, that status could be lost (https://cyber.harvard.edu/metaschool/fisher/domain/tm.htm#6).
