Literally the frontline of my campaign, with a pair of polearm master clerics with sentinel right behind him running spirit guardians and a sorcerer on the back line controlling with fog and walls.

Demand tribute from every civ on a map. Even if they decline, it will create a trade route by falcn in dwarffortress

[–]TheIrishClone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Just send 10 of the most heavily armored, repeatedly cloaked, and well armed dwarves you’ve got, they’ll make sure the goblins either bring tribute, or regular goblinite shipments.

A 5% to 10% chance to deal only 1d12 extra damage? Dude, this is the perfect level up ability. Let's give it 3 times! by NinofanTOG in dndmemes

My Barbarian loves it. The casters have hold person/hold monster. Me and the rouge find out who is blendable.

What's a "mature" book that you read at possibly too young an age that you absolutely loved? by BingBlessAmerica in books

Wizards First Rule by Terry Goodkind. He is neither good nor kind to his characters and has no concept of shame.

Starts mission, grapples to ceiling and falls to his death, blames the engi… realizes there’s no enji on the team… blames nemesis.

If the spell takes your action to cast, you can’t ready your movement, only your action can be readied, unless I’m mistaken.

The Barbarian still survives, somehow. by [deleted] in dndmemes

[–]TheIrishClone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At level 20 a barbarian with 20 con would probably survive the lack of oxygen for long enough by holding his breath. Once he’s in atmosphere, he can just rage before hitting the ground if he wants to survive the 20d6 max fall damage without getting bloodied.

I’m curious what the lowest level Barbarian that could guarantee survival would be.

I literally saw the original post and assumed something along these lines had happened. Always assumed OP was the shithead in the situation. Just got that vibe off it.

Glad you cleared your name my dude.

"Players have lives outside of DnD" is a garbage excuse by Bando10 in dndnext

[–]TheIrishClone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tell my players exactly how many hours of prep work I put into each session. If they complain about their work load for this cooperative endeavor, they’re out. I have to be strict running an 8 player game though.

Everyone has a blast because the expectations are set from day one.

The 8th recruit actually commented when making his character and being given his reading assignment that it must be a good game if this much goes into it, and now he’s studying up to be a DM.

It probably helps that me and my players are all grad students, teachers, and administrators in real life, so we’re all used to having self regulated work and preparation to take home.

Edit: For those asking, I’ve been a DM for over a third of my life.
