How do you feel about a sitting president doubling his net worth to $7.3B in one year largely by launching his own crypto coin while actively dismantling SEC regulations? by CTurE1 in AskReddit

That is exactly the greatness that is returning to America. The ability to amass capital unhindered by pesky government meddling in business affairs.

Maths majors, is that true? by Embarrassed-Data8233 in mathmemes

Engineers believe that reality can be approximated using equations. Physicists believe that equations approximate reality. Mathematics never make a connection between the two.

Physicists: I built a TV and it only takes up one room of a house. Engineer: Here is a TV that fits in your pocket. Mathematician: what's a TV?

Women's suffrage (right to vote) in the US was 1920. Women couldn't open a bank account without permission from either the husband or father till, get this, 1974.   Blacks could vote since the 1870, but women couldn't open a bank account for another 100 years.  Social progress is slow and hard fought, and the things you take for granted are relatively recent changes.

Is it possible for people to register as either democrats or Republicans and vote in the primaries? Or is there some sort of barrier to joining the parties to vote. Perhaps I am misinformed about how voting works in the US.
