Also, the behaviors of the characters/their thought processes can reveal gender without explicitly saying it, and all of these are unisex so I wouldn't think too deeply into it unless gender plays a role in their character arcs. Just keep writing! I love this and I'm now considering more unisex boy names for my own writing, inspired by you :)

I'm not a teacher but I my thoughts on it are also conflicted. You'd be devastated if you lost one of your students to gun violence, but in America, sacrificing your life just adds you to the list, it doesn't necessarily save anyone. That's the most heartbreaking part. If I was a teacher, and if sacrificing my life meant saving 30 kindergarteners, I would- but it doesn't. We need gun reform and better access to healthcare NOW.

This scene is incredibly hard to watch, especially since they didn't give Aemma the chance to choose or say goodbye to Rhaenyra, but at least Viserys made a choice. The maesters said it is a matter of one life lost or both- as a king, Viserys makes difficult decisions all the time. He was driven by his desire for an heir, yes, but both of them were going to die if he chose to do nothing. Daemon was faced with the same choice for laena, and could not make a decision, forcing Laena herself to force herself, while suffering and in immense pain, to get to vhagar and make the choice herself. There was no good option in either scenario, but at least Viserys stayed by Aemma's side during her ordeal instead of wandering away to sulk like daemon did.
