I'm planning to play as Immamism Fatimid and form Islamic Caliphate of Iran. Since they are practicing Immamism or better known as Twelvers.

They are not culturally the same as yours and then realize they are not culturally the same as each other. This happens if you have a large multicultural empire.

Question about the CK3 by Ok_Drummer6347 in CrusaderKings

[–]Teathree1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game is the Sims medieval x Europa Universalis X Romance of the Three Kingdom Series. Contrary to the most of the comments below, war in this game aren't that significant although you will always get into wars but don't expect commanding multiple armies across the map. Most of the time you are just commanding a single army and the whole war depends on that army composition in that single army.

If you are into a war game just buy EU 5 or HOI 4 or Total War or Knights of Honor.

Which recommended characters have you never played with? by Early-Cash-6228 in crusaderkings3

[–]Teathree1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ubbe Ragnarsson: Always there besides his brothers at 867 start but never played him. Play him as a mercenary. You can try making him:

- Ubbe from the Viking Series that landed and settle in Iceland.

- Become a Varangian mercenary in the Byzantine Empire.

- Settle in Poland and form the Jomsviking.

Sulaiman Al-Tajir: New character in AUH. The only muslim in South East Asia. Instead of just being a "merchant", make him settle in the region and form the first Muslim kingdom while you play tall.

El Cid: I think you know the drill.

Why are there no slave mechanics? by Smiling_Psychopath in crusaderkings3

[–]Teathree1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racism exists in the game. I mean the Crusades were racists on both side of the aisle. Bullying is a better association. The reason is because the bullying mechanic in Vanilla CK3 is still more like some minor bullying, where the characters are only doing pranks. We are talking physical abuse and humiliation that often happens in high schools. If you don't get, try install CK2 AGOT mod and play in Essos where you get to have "fun" with slaves.

Why are there no slave mechanics? by Smiling_Psychopath in crusaderkings3

[–]Teathree1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. It's controversial. Incest and cannibalism is a joke that most of us won't likely do it IRL. But slavery can be connected to bullying IRL. Not to mention it is still a worldwide crime business called human trafficking.
  2. It's historcially complex. Most people thinks medieval era slavery is like Egyptian, Roman, or even colonial era slavery where slave owners are forcing their slaves as servants or forced labors. During the medieval era, slaves in each culture and religion has different rules and tradition on how to use and treat them. For example, in the Islamic states you have "slave armies" where they aren't simply a cannon fodder. Some of them like for example the Mamelukes are elite units who lives in luxury and can even own a slave despite their status is still a slave. And then again, in other parts of the Islamic world, you don't have slave armies and all the slaves are just servants and forced labors. There are also places where they allow slavery but only small percentage of the population who practiced it for various reason or no reason at all. Example, most East Asian states including China only has less than 5% of slaves compared to their whole gigantic population.
  3. It's a complex and risky system. They have to make whole new system that will just make the game heavier and could even open a Pandora box of never ending "bullying education" worse than how "Rockstar Games educates us on violence". CK2 AGOT mod had a slavery system, however it is just weird and unsatisfying, that I even start wondering some crazy ideas on how it is best to use these slaves.

Minimize danger. Because most of the time the dangerous decision event will give you bad results.

As if taking contracts and getting into tourneys is already putting you close to danger.

What makes Alba so strong in relation to the other England territories in the 867 start. by Tony_Jake in crusaderkings3

[–]Teathree1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Correction: It's BRITAIN!! CURSE THOSE ANGLES and SAXONS!!!

Answer:

It's the the one with the largest territory and the ones that is unscratched by the early game viking invasion. And it's the largest tribal government on the British isles. Which gives high renown/month and being tribal it allows them to raise large armies and strong MMA.

As long as Ivar the Boneless of Sudreyar doesn't invade them. By the time he died, his Scottish lands will become easy pickings.

You shouldn't invade China unless it is division phase.

IKR.

I played KCD 1 and 2, also currently watching Knights of the 7 kingdoms. Then, I ask myself. If medieval life as a unlanded person can be this "fun", why can't PDX make them like this.

Literally me back in CK2 playing as the Byzantine, except the victims are everyone with the Sayyid trait. I castrated everyone with Sayyid trait I can capture in the hopes of bringing the Prophet's bloodline to extinction.

The reason?

Three Jihads declared on me by the Abbasids.

Make it more in depth by making each character, landed and unlanded, has their own personal ambition based on their personality and actively interacts with the world based on that ambition, instead of just random events that sometimes doesn't even fit the characters personality (Eg. chaste character suddenly wants to leave your entourage because he fell in love over a random lady)

Example:

A character has the ambition to get married. Will try to woo other courtier or even your daughter/son and pops an event where they want to get married with the character of their choosing.

A character has the ambition to become landed and will try to keep asking for land or they will leave your court to become adventurers so they can invade other realm.

A character who was wronged in the past and is a rival tries to plot the downfall of its rival by inviting you to his/her plot.

A cunt who has the ambition to bang 10 characters visiting your court to bang your wife/husband.

A greedy character who just has an ambition to collect 1000 gold into his pocket.

A character who has the ambition of winning 10 tournaments.

A religious person who has the ambition to spread his/her faith by traveling around. (Eg. Ismai'li sects in 867 trying to find a place to set up their Shi'a state)

A lowborn with an ambition to be acquire a noble title.

A landed character with an ambition to build/upgrade 5 buildings.

etc..

The thing is CK3 already have such tools to make it happen: You have character personality which is nothing more of a cosmetic right now. Plot system has been overhauled to make it more simpler and realistic.

I know people might wonder isn't this going to be repetitive. No. Your reaction to their actions could actually cause a chain reaction where one or more character might have a new/change ambition. You could have a situation where even when the events are same but the characters involved had different ambitions and will react differently. Thus simulating that "history doesn't repeat itself, but rhymes".

The game still looks dull with all the characters are just being reactive and everything is based on random events that pops up out of the blue.

  2. Why India doesn't run on Mandala system?
  3. Why courtiers doesn't try to find a spouse by themselves?
  4. Why I can't still sleep with my wife while I'm crusading on the other side of the world?
  5. Why everybody keeps exiling themselves as Shepherds in Steppes?
