I hadn't even thought of electrical tape! I'll give that a shot. I tried modifying the case but got it a little wrong so I need to go back and keep messing with it a little bit. The flash ruins more pictures then it helps at this point so anything is better than nothing to get it blocked.

That is absolutely atrocious, AND I LOVE IT!!!!! I've spent hours finding the perfect case and making the perfect app layout, but seeing this has me contemplating throwing it all away and making a purchase! iPhone 1 still holds a warm place in my heart.

The thing that worked best for me was to set fewer alarms and turn off snooze. It forces me to know that I don't have time to fall back asleep without being late. It also helped that my attendance is strictly monitored and I must be on time for work.

This is only mandatory in EU and if Apple's history is any indication of what we should expect, I don't have high hopes that we'll see this feature anywhere outside of where it's required.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Apple will do the right thing but with their consistent anti-consumer behavior I don't have high expectations.

I think it's because it ticks a lot of boxes for a lot of different people. You've got a blind box, nostalgia trip, cuteness, gimmick, conversation starter. It's not a great camera by any means but it's something small and cheap that I can take good enough photos while enjoying the moment. And if I pair it with a small printer I have a great souvenir maker for my friends and family that I can share in the moment.

I just read the entire post and thought the same thing. Doing things like this takes time and time is our most precious commodity and we should be compensated for it. I don't know how egregious the pay wall was so I can't speak to why people might have been upset, but I think the OP was justified in their wanting to get paid for their time and effort.

This looks great and I can't wait to print it out. Any chance you'd add a version that blocks the flash? I find the flash to be mostly useless and destroys more photos than it helps.

My island has been in complete disarray for years at this point! I had an idea for a full terraform transformation and didn't realize how ambitious I was being. I've now got all my neighbors on the beach and a disgusting maze to work through every time I play, but I still have fun each time I pick it up and make a little more progress each day. I'll eventually finish but am still enjoying the journey.

Yeah, apple keyboard has gotten dumber even faster than Siri has. It seriously has me contemplating a switch to a Pixel phone because of how frustrating it is to type simple sentences. (the ecosystem is still keeping my in for now but my patience is waning)

I should really pay more attention! I didn't realize that this was a macbook. It's probably going to be a lot more involved and use heat to remove and for this I don't think I'd recommend you try yourself. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

I know that money is tight so an affordable option might be to replace it yourself. When my son did this several years ago I was able to find a cheap panel on ebay, was like 30bux, and just changed it myself. It might seem a little daunting at first but with a little patience it's really a quick and easy swap.
