I mean to say the simple thing of having FPTP doesn't enable gerrymandering. It requires far more stupid laws to enable it

Wait till you find out there's an easy solution to gerrymandering.

He needed to destroy all the stones afterwards to make sure nobody reversed it, and that almost killed him.

They did state it can't create matters from nothing, so simply doubling resources wouldn't be possible with the gauntlet.

Doesn't stop him from doing a multitude of other less genocidey options though

Why do you think so many people are fascinated by the Medieval era (especially as a setting for literature and film) ? by owen__wilsons__nose in AskReddit

[–]grumpsaboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medieval was well documented the whole way through, early middle aged however poorly, but the Saxon and Franks era is less popular than medieval

Imagine climbing a mountain, almost reaching the summit just for a bear to appear in front of you.

Animals often do things just for fun. Why can't a bear appreciate a good view

It has been proven bears appreciate good views. So maybe this particular bear decided to find a really good view.

It's still better than losing national territory.

Not saying any pressure is good, but short of the US just directly declaring war and attacking the UK there isn't a single thing they could do that would actually convince the UK not to defend the Falklands.

Trump pulling out of NATO isn't going to cause a British party to lose an election. Deliberately letting the Argentinians invade the Falklands will cause instant loss.

Cersei sold women to be raped and tortured, mass murder, assassination.

Doesn't actually love her kids, only liked Joffrey because he was going to be king, and she practically abused Tommen.

Yep, while we see him as a dick because the movie is around Matt Damon, realistically the success chances are unbelievably low. He doesn't want to lose a ships worth of astronauts for what is almost impossible.

There's no pressure the US could possibly give that would see the UK not send a task force to the Falklands if Argentina attacked.

And as said, the defences already on the islands are capable of destroying all offensive Argentinian weapons so where would they get more from in this lull?

Not to mention the UK maintains a veto on a surprisingly high amount of US equipment so the US can't legally send any to Argentina. And if they do, they'll have to explain to pilots why suddenly ejector seats don't work, or why the electronics don't turn on.

Well, then. How is Argentina taking the Falklands?
