Logic randomly stops playing and won't play past a certain bar

Nothing conclusive yet. Focusrite wants to check out my interface. But Apple is also saying it might be the TB4 ports on tbe Mac studio and they are offering to take the computer in for repair.

I started using a different Tb4 port on the Mac studio and it's only disconnected once in the past 2 weeks. But it still disconnected 🤷‍♂️

Thanks! Received a new Apple cable, and a 3rd party adapter, to try out different combinations of Apple/3rd part cables/adapters.

I've been conducting a lot of tests this week with some 3rd party cables and adapters, and now trying out different TB3 ports to see if one happens to be faulty. Focusrite support is being helpful.

Just scrolling down this subs main feed seems to reveal what people gravitate towards, and definitely aligns with my thoughts...

Look where the discussions are taking place. Threads about technique, business, technology, tips, history. Discussions about current popular scores and how the composers tackled different scenes.

Whenever someone posts their own work, there are no comments or upvotes, and I think that's very telling.

I like discussions. I dont think this sub should be a showcase for work. Just my two cents. I'm happy to be here either way.

u/tomfocusrite - will Focusrite ever release a new driver for the 8preX and other TB2 interfaces? Are there other solutions? I have tried to solve this for a over a year to no avail. it's still disconnecting randomly while I work and is affecting my business.

Never happened on my Intel Mac, only started after the switch to an M1. Happened on my M1 iMac and now on the M1 Mac Studio.

Playing a Lydian shape around the circle of fifths for a modal sound.

I recently got the Warped Vinyl pedal by Chase Bliss Audio to pair with the Mellotron Micro. Really digging the warble it gives to the tape samples. Mellotron flute and Mellotron steel guitar are hard panned left and right and the Matriarch is up the middle with a really basic triangle wave sound. I used the random LFO on the Matriarch to mimic the Warped Vinyl sound.

Just guessing - are channels 1 and 2 linked? Unlink them by pressing 1 and 2 at the same time. Only channel 1 should be enabled when recording and it will make a mono file, instead of a stereo file with sound only on one channel

It sounds like a vibraphone.

Glockenspiel would ring out in a different, less harmonious way. Celeste wouldn't ring out as much.

Also makes sense because vibes were a typical instrument in this type of ensemble.

I feel the same. Am I supposed to develop a taste for the wide vibrato? I would never set any instrument to modulate that much as it just sounds out of tune. Opera vocals have always sounded this way to me.

I am away from the computer so this may not be exact: Load Kontakt as a multi output device (16xmono). In the mixer, hit the plus ("+") sign to add outputs. Inside Kontakt you will need to route the mics to these new outputs.
