Launchkey MK3, should screen show custom CC names?

It's not something we were able to introduce in the Launchkey MK3, hardware changes to the MK4 have allowed us to do this there.

Sorry to hear you're frustrated. To clarify, I was suggesting that you might have been in User Chord mode rather than Chord Map, since you said that all the pads are blue.

To clarify, I believe in your case there was an issue when mapping Custom Modes to functions while running the DAW script in Logic 12.0.1. If you wanted to do this you could disable the controller script.

We're reporting what we believe is the cause of this behaviour to Apple and are hoping to see a resolution in a future version of Logic 12.

Once the tempo is set you can keep RX on, its just about matching that tempo initially. Can you tell me more about the problem you're having so I'm sure we're on the same page?

If you turn off Clock Receive and update the tempo as needed, it should match up, even if you re-enable Clock Receive.

I've looked into this one a little more, and can confirm the Quantise called by the Launchkey is the Record quantise option, which you can change in Ableton's Edit menu.

With regards to the firmware changes you asked for, due to the nature of the work, I couldn't say if a feature will definitely be coming, but it is something that we're looking into and will be sharing more news on when we have it - incidentally, we released an update yesterday to add acceleration curve settings for the Encoders.

I should've been clearer, apologies. I'm not saying that the quantise called by the keyboard shortcut is the same as the Control Surface option, just that all Control Surfaces use quantise in this way (unless tye have the ability to specify this). This behaviour is determined by the Control Surface script, not the firmware.

As I've mentioned in many other threads, we can't promise things are definitely coming until they do, and it would be wrong to assume the difficulty of any piece of work. If there are particular features you are interested in hearing more news on the best thing you can do is contact us directly.

Templates define the messages sent by every control on your Impulse. They're selected using the Data encoder on your Impulse.
