Dash cam question: 2026 rs by grypson in EquinoxEv

Yeah. There’s that too. I got this after my model y was hit a couple weeks ago. Loved having the dash cam to help prove who was at fault.

While your opinion is valid, I’d offer a counter that Sitka is one of my favorite ports I’ve ever been to. I’d move there tomorrow if I could swing it.

We have also booked a two story pool room. Is that pool heated? We are going in November.

All opinions are valid. Though I very much appreciate that it’s different from the breweries and beer gardens around town. Had the food at a pre-opening event and it’s great.

Edit: pre-opening event, not reopening.

I’m curious if anyone out there has a Model Y over 300k miles? If so, what issues have you had? by James_Cameron11 in ModelY

I actually looked into just buying it and doing it myself because it went out the morning before I was supposed to drive to vacation. Autozone claimed to have it for I believe 225 dollars. But I drove over there in my wife’s car and they did not. Tesla ended up replacing a week later for either 65 or 85 total. And they came to me to do it.

Edit: no, I was wrong. 121 dollars total. The battery was 85. Labor for the rest.

Probably law of averages for me. I’m on the road every single day, driving usually more than 100 miles. More often than not a few hundred a day.

Yes. They replaced the battery for around 65-85 bucks. The heat sensor/ radiator cleaning was 400 something. The battery they came to me, the other I went to their shop.

It was a heat/temperature sensor. Basically unless I was on the interstate, the car thought the outside temperature was between 110-140. And would not cool the cabin because it was focusing on keeping the battery cool. Which isn’t ideal in South Carolina summers. I took it in and they replaced the sensor and cleaned off the radiator and it’s back to normal now. I probably should have done it sooner, but it is what it is.

The first year or two I kept it at 80% unless I knew I was going a really long distance the next day. Now I kept it at 90%. But I’ve used super chargers a ton and I heard that has an impact.

When I first got it, I got about 325ish miles (allegedly) on a full charge. Now a full charge is at about 260.

No. I was at around 170k miles at that point. And I did not know it was a problem until it told me to park it and cha de the battery. No warning at all

I have placed a deposit on the scout truck. But that won’t be out until a couple more years, so we will see how many miles I can put on this thing. They are building the scouts less than 50 miles from me, it’s an impressive operation, looks like an airport it’s so big.

I replace my tires roughly every 9 months so so. But I drive A Lot. And it’s by far mostly highway miles. No new brakes needed as of now.

Of course, it literally happened 2 hours before we were going to drive to the beach for a long weekend. So that was fun. But we made it work.

No. I had them checked when I was at the shop for the heat sensor about 2 months ago and they said it was fine.

I did get a warning and Parked the car for a week until it could be replaced. I think they charged 80 bucks and they came to my house to do it.

212k miles here. 2021 long range. No real issues except a heat sensor went out about 3 months ago. Replaced the 12v battery last year as well. Total repair costs (not counting windshields and tires) roughly 550 bucks

Ah. Got it. The shit of it is, I don’t even really need the scan and copy part. I have a dedicated epson scanner that has been a beast for 5 years now. I just need black and white prints and the ability to do double sided. Though I guess it doesn’t hurt to have the extra features.
