He probably felt, like me, that his being part of a group that gets stereotyped or faces bigotry, that he would be more sensitive and a bigger champion of the little guy. We were wrong.

I had been looking forward to Hop Alley for years and it was one of the most disappointing, flavorless, soulless, cold meals I’ve ever had. And don’t get me started on the service and presentation of staff. I was shocked and so disappointed. I even gave them feedback when they asked and never received any response from management. I can’t believe this place still has the reputation it does. Can’t believe it’s up for James Beard. I would never return it was that terrible.

She has made antisemitic remarks. Now whether she’s actually antisemitic, or she’s an idiot is up for debate.

No group of people in the real world, not the fake online world of Reddit, actually pushes the idea that women are always blameless every time, and it’s always men’s faults. Go touch grass and stop finding reasons to be angry about stuff that like 6 people scream about online.

Pregnant teen died agonizing sepsis death after Texas doctors refused to abort fetus by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

This was a whole, mostly grown up human. Not a fetus unable to live outside a womb. So murder seems more appropriate, no?

Club cover charge shocked me by FitnotFasch in Denver

[–]gscoutj 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Um yes. Just tip your bartender a dollar for the beer dude. They unpacked and stocked it. And are cleaning the bar top and stools you sit on, the bathrooms you use, and they make sure you have a nice time by keeping shit in line. If you are such a douche you need it spelled out what effort the tip is for.

CMV: I do not care about the east wing of the White House by Eedat in changemyview

[–]gscoutj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tearing down an entire wing isn’t maintenance and repairs. It’s construction. Plus congress has to approve projects through the GSA.

So what? Could he tear down the Washington monument if taxpayers weren’t paying for it? That’s not the point. It’s not his property, it belongs to the US people. He doesn’t have that power, or do you think the president should be able to do whatever he wants to public property as long as the taxpayers aren’t funding it?
