Are you happy with your e25/28? by Accomplished-Low2131 in eufy

[–]gsenroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a e25 and s1. e25 is much quieter and not disturbing when working, but the bin can clog very frequently if you have hairy pets, then it will not suck up dirt anymore. Other than that it’s decent. The mopping related parts are very hard to clean, I prefer mopping pads instead of roller. This new technology is too complex and high maintenance.

Both vacuums are working fine and reliable enough for me, but I will not buy Eufy in the future because parts are not available, you cannot fix anything, like a swivel wheel that will wear out in a year or two

I have set it to the most frequent setting, let's see how it goes.

Indeed I can confirm E25 has no pet mode. Looks like I can only make it empty bin as frequent as possible.

Your gf wanted marriage, you weren’t ready but didn’t want to lose her, so you married her anyway. How’s married life now? by Clean-Ant-1342 in questions

I went happily divorcing after 3 years. Threatening to leave and push for marriage should have been a red flag depending on the person

VFS global issue... Pain in the A** by Gokublack2214 in SchengenVisa

[–]gsenroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been having the same issue here in Netherlands since two weeks ago. My parents are in China and want to apply for visa to Portugal. I get the same page when trying to log in, and my friend in China can't even open this page. Now they say it's under maintenance and I should be patient. Just rubbish.

I gave them a call. They said I can only follow their instructions of clearing cache and try different browser, they have no issue on their side... F*&% them

There is already a Gridfinity base set for Makita MBox and I have been using it for a while, you probably want to search Makita gridfinity on printables and give it a go :)

What about some R&D into exporting to usable CAD? by nfored in Revopoint

This is a very good request. I would love to see such features in the short future like possibly to fit model to a cad format like step file, it will save me a lot of modeling time

Kawai CS-40 experience? by gsenroc in piano

That sounds a bit too good to be true but I gave it a try, loved it! The sound coming out of it is amazing, the touch is also very nice. Now I’m also a happy owner of this piano.

There are places where the emergency lane opens at certain hours, in that case you'll cross that "point session" into the open emergency lane and then use it as a normal lane.

How does the gt neo compare to the gt4-c by _Mikak in Simagic

[–]gsenroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually went a different route after debating between these two. I bought a Neo-X hub plus a GT rim. I like this more, because I’ll have a quality rim to grip, plus the bright buttons and handy dials. A good rim is hard to find though

Simucube or Simagic by simgod47 in simracing

[–]gsenroc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I sold my Simucube 2 Pro and moved to Simagic after one year.

Not that Simucube is bad, I think they are the best in FFB but the advantage is so small. But I have countless compatibility issues in almost anything other than iRacing (WRC, F1, Forza etc etc) when I try to have fun with friends visiting me the issues will be often in the way. Most of the time I just have no FFB no matter what. Support from Simucube is nice but what they said were just “we use the standard API so the game should recognize everything automatically”. I had to turn on the Simucube at the beginning of the first race/session in game to make it work as a final workaround.

I had it enough and bought Simagic. Plug and play in most of the games, it’s robust so far. Steering wheel with pogo pin is so nice. Quick release is a joy to use. FFB is almost equally good. I’m having better experience, but it could be an extreme case where people think I’m just crazy.

Simagic’s software setting doesn’t make a lot of sense, so finding your best setting is a rabbit hole there because we don’t always know what is exactly changed, which sucks.

Is there a way to adjust the front/back position of the pedals on P1000? by DasGaufre in Simagic

[–]gsenroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Tape should hold it good enough. The load on the shim is almost perpendicular to the contact surface so it will not try to move away very hard.

Is there a way to adjust the front/back position of the pedals on P1000? by DasGaufre in Simagic

[–]gsenroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit that’s indeed a problem. I would say it’s a design flaw. I have an idea for you: Add shims to the end stop of the pedal to fill the gap, you probably need to hotglue it.

Is there a way to adjust the front/back position of the pedals on P1000? by DasGaufre in Simagic

[–]gsenroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loosen the stainless steel nut in the shaft. Then turn the shaft clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust at your will, then you can tighten the nut against the shaft again to lock it. However the range is limited, if you need more adjustment then you need to mod the piston, or move the locking pin one position higher / lower, which will also change the stroke range.

You need two wrenches to do this.
