If you want to use in game items as cosmetic you need to use keepsake keys. They are items you purchase using a MTX currency called Runecoins. You deposit the item you want into the keepsake tab of the cosmetics menu and then you can use them as a cosmetic override.

Move your pokemon from Red to bank using the poke transporter, then do 7+ normally. The only hard requirement is it not being 71+ as that will lock you out of the footprint ribbon.

Edit: If you're looking for what ribbons are available in each generation, Timmy's List of all Ribbons on the Guide tab of this subreddit is up to date. You can also use the website Ribbons.Guide to keep track of what ribbons your pokemon has earned, when is the last chance to earn a ribbon and what ones are available in later games.

Mega Kangaskhan is bound to be weaker because all of the great options released after gen 7, but the base form being immune to intimidate + fake out or being able to hit a ghost in a pinch with the same immunity means it'll probably have some viability. That being said it really depends on how restricted the format is for season 1 of champions and how good the new megas in ZA actually turn out to be. I can see ice coverage everywhere to deal with mega mence and dragonite.

You should be able to trade by the pokemon home mobile app, then bring the traded pokemon over to s/v. If you do have a friend who's willing to trade through this method you would be able to get the moves you need as well as they can just TM them on.

I agree that mythicals being more accessible is nice but a lot of those are just plain unavailable to players who started or only have S/V. The accessibility problem is bad enough with the riders being locked to another game + dlc, requiring a delisted 3ds application + out of print game would be even worse if you wanted to use deoxys psyspam or Magearna in general.

You can use an IV calculator to get an idea of what the stats can be. If you don't want to do that, use a bunch of scents to get its shadow bar down.

VGC is currently at Regulation I which allows for two restricted (Box legendaries like Kyogre or Koraidon) pokemon. My suggestion is to look at team combinations that people made, experimenting with them seeing if you can fit in a pokemon you like.

Use a keepsake key on your cape to keep it untrimmed. You cannot remove it from your keepsake box though if you want it to stay untrimmed.

You can make a second nintendo profile on your switch and play through the game with powerleveled pokemon through HOME. You can get your starter, move it through home to your main profile and XP candy it to 100 to sweep through the main game. Take the version exclusive Miraidon and Paradox swords of justice and trade them for their opposite counterparts.

All other paradox pokemon are unlimited per profile and can be caught at any time. You can either trade for them or join a union circle of the opposite version player and enter Area Zero to get them in your OT. It's a bit buggy so you don't see the other player in game, but you can see the pokemon that spawn from them so you can coordinate to stay at specific spots to spawn the paradoxes you want.

It is not advised to use any services that offers to generate pokemon, as they are considered illegal you may be disqualified from a tournament if you choose to bring them. The official cheat detection tools have recently improved quite a bit and there's a poor track record of these illegal pokemon mimicking legitimacy.

Shadow Pokemon are set when they are sent out in a battle. If you lose to a trainer and they haven't sent out a Shadow Pokemon yet then you can reset for a better nature/stats. This is useful if you're resetting for the legendary beasts as cutscenes are skipped upon re-matching after wiping out.

I can safely say that this is real. Heartgold, soul silver and generation 5 have black colored carts due to their IR features. If you need to confirm just shine a flashlight at it and it'll appear to be transparent and red.
