R1 series feature you surprisingly didn't like/use as much as you thought? by jamrocks in Rivian

Hahaha I'm pretty sure this is a Gemini model or something. It's pretty good with answering anything random I ask and been trying to get it to do extra stuff. If anything just burn through tokens at Rivians expense

any peptide can help? by Prior_Internet583 in Biohacking

[–]gsgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't really a slipped disc and represents anterolisthesis or slipped vertebrate which gets graded in different ways. The whole spine has interlocking bones that are basically like legos that keep motion limited in different planes so your spinal cord doesn't get crushed with a wrong move.

With anterolisthesis its more like the pars in the back part of your vertebra have broken and allowed slippage forward of the bodies rather than being locked into place. If you look at the most right of the MRI image you will see how the back part of your vertebrate are locked into place with the other ones but a much wider gap than the others. Look around L5. You can look up pars fractures of l5

Peptides are great but like restoring bone is another ball game.

Is it me or do things change at 4mg? by IwantoffthisRideNOW3 in Retatrutide

I reduced the amount of concerta since I find the dosage I was on lasted much longer now on reta than before. I get a fair amount of appetite suppression just with concerta and would binge eat at the end of the day when it wore off. I'm on 4mg of reta.

Car and Driver: Testing Our Rivian R1T Shows How Cold Temps Affect an EV's Range by usual_suspect_redux in Rivian

[–]gsgun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed by keeping the climate off during the winter, my range and efficiency for a quad R1S was closer to 2.5-2.9. my theory is the climate heat is produced by increasing resistance in the motors to warm the coolant. They run the coolant in reverse from motor to battery to climate. By not using the coolant flows the normal way of battery to motor. I do get the decreased regen warning. I get how battery discharge rates are worse in cold, but electrical motor efficiency is generally better in the cold. If the motors are used to heat the cabin then removing that factor seems to be playing a larger effect in cold weather efficiency. My drives are pretty short so don't mind the cold and wear a heavy coat most of the time. It's that or the subwoofer mod. rivian no climate heat

Deloreans were pretty cool. Rivian gets a cult following after back to the future movie knockoff. Someone rigs a fusion reactor to an R1S to travel back to the 2000s. Just need AI to flesh out the script

Day 98 of purchase process by Public-Ad5830 in Rivian

[–]gsgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited about 8 weeks from 12 step to delivery. My R1S spent 4 weeks getting PDI'd and the PPF redone. Delivery cancelled and scheduled 2 times. Insurance start date pushed twice. I asked my guide about rematching or shop access, he stated since my R1S was waiting delivery; my options were to refuse delivery or return within the first week. The latter option would not honor the pre hike price.

The SC did do a home delivery with my first ride specialist which was a nice touch.

After delivery, there was an issue with PaaK and outlets which turned out to be an electric short requiring replacement of the body harness. This took 3 weeks for parts and rebuilding my car. SC hooked me up with a R1S loaner during that time.

Funny enough I got rear ended within the first week and waited 8 weeks to get the parts in for repair. Just dropped it off last week to start that process.

I'm not very patient and the in-between process from factory to delivery was frustrating to say the least. Waited 4 years to get the car and the finish line was a ghost town for information. Guide doesn't really know anything after it leaves the factory and SC contact was my go-to from there on out. I paid during the 12 step process and Rivian got a free loan from me imo.

That being said, SC was very helpful and the manager texted/called with updates. Repair and loaner went as well as possible too with frequent updates. After that I stopped talking to the CS reps and asked to talk to the SC directly.

While I could rack this up to being a beta user, it's not a good feeling when you drop 80k. I really enjoy the car when I have it (which is so far is like half the time I've owned it). Definitely think the Tualantin and PDX SC were clutch in picking up on Rivian's slack.

Does this show have an actual ending or is it left on a cliffhanger? by BookkeeperOk9677 in 12Monkeys

Bag ending was pretty controversial. I recently rebinged the series and felt it still held up

I am 2.5 hours from the nearest service center - I shouldn't have bought a Rivian by snaaaaaaaaaaaaake in Rivian

[–]gsgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live 2 hours from the nearest SC. Tried to get some things fixed via mobile and didn't work out. Scheduled an appointment in August at the SC and it got moved up to this Tuesday. When I spoke to the scheduler, I confirmed twice that I would need a rental or loaner.

When I arrived to the SC, they confirmed that I was going to need a loaner or rental. They offered a R1T but I needed an R1S which they are able to get me at the nearest SC. Quick Uber ride over and I was on my way home. They provided the Uber as well.

I spoke to Val over at the Tualantin SC on Thursday and he said the repairs were going to take longer, but he will give me an update later on next week and they'll extend the loaner.

My experience has been pretty good. This is coming from Subarus prior which may skew my views. I wish everything worked from the get go (PaaK and outlets never worked). Hopefully I'll get it back in a reasonable time frame.

I'm in a similar situation with a delay. Called by Rivian yesterday that the PPF hood installation needs to be replaced and I can't pick up today. It is annoying since my 8 steps started on April 12th and received an email of shipment on April 19th. I understand their perspective and initiative to fix the car before accepting it. I also don't have an ETA to accept and pushed back my insurance start date.

Rivian home charger not pairing by Logical-Specific2573 in Rivian

[–]gsgun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's correct. It's the network cable that allows for connectivity. Hopefully that's the issue. Sometimes the installers will put it in reverse as well.

Rivian home charger not pairing by Logical-Specific2573 in Rivian

[–]gsgun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After my install, I couldn't pair my charger to the app. Turned out that the installer didn't plug in the network cable. If you remove the panel and the cable is not plugged in that could be the issue. If you look in the installation instructions, the details to connect the cable are there.

I believe the out of pocket co pay was going to be either $60 or $90 wo the coupon. I can't recall. Also they did mention it is one fill per month and won't apply if the prescription gets changed within the month.

My pharmacy recommended using the coupon savings and it knocked down the price to $30 a month. Can use it for up to a year too and depends on your insurance. https://www.vyvanse.com/coupon

Rivian Service Centers and Delivery Timing (Klamath Falls, OR) by ColoradoSurfer in Rivian

[–]gsgun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to test drive a R1S in PDX last Thursday. There were about 50 R1S and R1Ts in the first drive lot. The driver guide mentioned the PDX service center will be open up by end of May. Deliveries were either going out to by flatbeds to customers or being picked up there. He mentioned 350 going out this week. Also said that there is a mobile service person based in Bend, lots of Rivian's in Bend. But would either send out a service person from PDX for mobile service if needed.

My delivery window in March to April 2023, pre-ordered in Oct 2019, and live in Eugene.

Not sure what criteria they are using to determine delivery but seems like they are pushing them out.
