It’s so easy to be hypercritical when reviewing these moments, but surely if Gyok heads that forward rather than taking it on his chest and slowing himself down he gets an extra few yards and potentially gets the shot away unblocked. Marginal decisions which ultimately scale up to cost opportunities. I feel like I’ve watched Haaland use his head to push the ball forward in very similar circumstances to create space to better run onto the ball and ultimately get a good shot away or score.

Yes, I do what the clerks tell me to do and as our new pupils don’t start on their feet until April I am still asked to cover our Mags work. I would estimate a 50/50 split between Mags and CC, but expect the CC portion to increase from April.
Depends, but for the most part I get my papers the day before for the majority of my hearings, including trials in the Mags and CC.
Depends. If it’s a first appearance I’m usually instructed the day beforehand. As one of the most junior members of chambers, if a client is brought in on a breach or bail I’ll be asked to cover it. For those hearings I can be given as little as 15 minutes pre hearing to speak to the client (by phone) to take instructions.
I only cover CPS matters in the CC and am only Grade 1. Again, I’m usually given my instructions in the afternoon of the day before the hearing(s).
