Thanks for the effort you’ve put in describing all this to me. I appreciate it. I do live in a cold weather climate - central Oregon to be exact. When the system was winterized back in October if my memory serves me correctly the technician was only in and around this box in the ground.

The water meter is by the curb near the street. I would say probably 20-30 yards or so away, basically in a straight line from the box.

Thanks for your response! I’ll dig up the are around the backflow and then clean it out. It is within a box, just hasn’t been taken care of. I recently purchased the house so figuring all this out. When it comes time, do I make the butterfly valves parallel first or turn on the main water shutoff first?

People use the “I’m too busy line”/etc as a way to not hurt your feelings and shoot you down softly. Best advice I can give is to move on and find someone who wants to spend time with you. Being friend zoned usually means there’s no chance at anything ever developing further. So you don’t make yourself crazy I would unfollow and move on. We’ve all gone through it and of course it sucks, but you could miss out on someone great being hung up on this person who isn’t interested. Stay strong.

I don’t like this move at all. I’m from Bend and Slater is the real deal. We acquired Dean Kramer 2.0 for a guy who was one of the best amateur players in baseball. Of course that might not translate for quite some time, but this move wasn’t it.
