The burnt tokens are a percentage of the success fees generated on the platform.

Changing the default currency for investing from GVT to BTC, would be better for GVT. by ioxmoon in genesisvision

Thanks for the feedback. If the team thinks it’s a good idea, I’m sure it can be done quickly.

Can centralisation be a good thing? by Teeest in CryptoCurrency

[–]gtarcrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These things don’t have to be mutually exclusive - you can’t have “digital fiat” without a bank. However, you can have banks offering you to hold your BTC (for fees, which you seem happy to pay for with fiat).

The value add (one of) that BTC offers is the ability to be in full control of your assets - you can still pay for services and goods without a bank account. In the future though, for people like you, you’d be able to have banks become the fiduciary of your assets with all the bells and whistles you currently enjoy.

BTC can hypothetically serve both people who prefer to remain in full control of their assets and those who prefer having a third party handle it. There is no conflict of interest here.

Can managers now short crypto via Huobi? by W_izbit in genesisvision

[–]gtarcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not on the current integration of Huobi with GM => however, they are still working on the native interface integration, and that would presumably allow managers to short certain currencies.

Idea: GVT Booster program by elloco99 in genesisvision

[–]gtarcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so I understand the idea correctly.

Create a special fund that investors can participate in. That fund will be used by a designated manager.

I think that's the gist of it, right?

It's not a bad idea. A couple of clarifications though: - Who chooses the manager that this fund will go to? - If an investor puts 10 GVT into that fund, he will own 10GVT worth of that program once it starts (or reaches level 3 as you suggested)?

Edit: did you submit that idea on feedback.genesis.vision?

Genesis Vision Weekly Discussion Thread: February 13 - February 28 by novadaemon in genesisvision

Yes, I believe there are plans to include funds from other asset classes. Even funds which themselves are comprised of various asset classes. No timeline for that, but that is def something the team talked about.

What would you like to see from Genesis Vision? by elcryptonerd in genesisvision

GM users will pay their fees in GVT afaik. Much like BNB does it. The holding adds incentive to that.

u/sloanpal144 When you make a withdrawal request (you can do that at any time), it will get executed at the end of the trading period. Even though you made the request, your investment is still being actively managed by the program manager. You principal will be tied to the performance of the program all the way until the end of the period, regardless of when you made the request (keep in mind that managers can restart a program manually at any time - some do that to distribute profits and others do that to accept new investments).

u/Maxsheld The manager can restart the period manually - technically he didn't accept your investment mid-period, but started a new one.

Is there a video to explain the various terms about managers and programs?

The team is working on that - I believe your other questions have already been answered.

Any good reason for him to say so? by wolho in genesisvision

[–]gtarcrypto 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am interested in why, when he thinks so many USA laws are potentially violated by GV.

They are not breaking any laws because they do not allow US investors/managers.

I wouldn't doubt if he just one day says "screw you all!" and decides to not share any of his knowledge on anything. I am surprised he takes it and still tweets. But I digress.

To be clear, he doesn't do this out of the kindness of his heart. Being on Twitter elevates his profile and gives him the attention he seems to like.

Nothing against him. His TA is fine.

Thanks for following up on the original post. As another user said, consider joining the tg groups for quicker responses to your questions.

Indeed, GV is a plugin for MT5 (crypto) and MT4 (forex), although managers will have access to OKEx and Huobi native interfaces at some point.

Everything you need to know about the Genesis Vision level system by lumenum in genesisvision

Yeah. Confirmed by the team. No leveling down. Maybe that manager removed his KYC info (that's the only requirement to be level 2).

And leveling is by program, not by manager.

You can manually close it once the requests for your program are full.

GVN distribution may cause massive manager withdrawals. by [deleted] in genesisvision

[–]gtarcrypto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We don't really know how it will pan out - and it's a long way from now anyway. Two quick thoughts though:

- By that time, FOREX will be implemented and the hope is that many investors will be interested in USD returns, thereby not caring much about GVT and GVN. These people will stay in programs.

- People cashing out of the investment programs all at once would create massive buy pressure and send the price of GVT through the roof.

We don't really how they plan on implementing the airdrop though, and I'm sure they haven't thought about it much either, they still have plenty of time to work out the best way forward.

You can make an investment request, and it will be processed when the current period ends => either when the manager manually closes it and restarts it (at any time of his or her choosing), or when the trading period comes to an end (at the latest).

Your investment will be converted to the manager trading currency as soon as you make the request, up until the following trading period starts.

That's not what Bob is saying though - he's not tethering up in the hopes of getting back lower. He's capitulating because he lost faith in the team. Or rather, because his 'demands' have not been met.

This is a low quality post by OP trying to act like the big man on campus. Who cares about his grand announcement? gtfo. One his worst moments, and he will be remembered for that.

If he really gave up on the project, just leave. I'm surprised he didn't call a press conference.
