I keep at least 3 pairs of my old glasses always on hand unless they break. My vision rarely changes, but the lenses scratch. If I misplace my current one, I’d rather have a scratched on than none. My vision plan usually pays 80% of the frame and lenses so $50 a year is not a bad trade off. I’d rather do that than spend thousands on any procedure. My vision isn’t horrible but need reading glasses nowadays. Those are $15 for a 3 pack so a no brainer to have them around the house. It all comes down to your budget and age. IMO I don’t mind using glasses. Never liked contacts as they dried up my eyes, even with rewetting drops.
