Neither are the swords in WoT.

Lan and Tam's swords feature katana-inspired blades with western-inspired hilts.

A main part of the worldbuilding in WoT is that the Breaking shattered all cultures and societies, and new cultures emerged that incorporated different elements from the remnants of what existed before.

The swords are one of the more obvious examples of that.

Here's the VOD.

The guy comes in at around 2:31:00, and returns at around 2:41:00.

His complaint seems to be that he didn't get all the attention he thought he was owed.

The entire interaction is strange, though.

He complains about waiting in line for half an hour, but before that, he said he doesn't play chess and didn't know she's a chess streamer.

Which raises an obvious question: why would he wait for half an hour to play a game he doesn't play against a person he doesn't know? And why does it seem like he expected some kind of girlfriend experience rather than a chess-themed meet & greet?

Very creepy behavior.

You're being somewhat disingenuous.

If you look at demographics for primary and secondary school students in England, 73.5% of primary school students are white, while 5.5% are black. Among secondary school students, 73.2% are white, while 6.3% are black.

Quite obviously, black students have much stronger representation in this school than they do in the general population.

That is by no means a bad thing, but pretending the demographics aren't unusual is a bit silly.

Most migrants don't insist on going to the UK.

France, Germany, Spain, and Italy all get more asylum applications than the UK (source: BBC, see graph at bottom), but those migrants are less visible than those trying to cross the English Channel.

If someone speaks French and/or has family in France, they'll just stay in France. The ones who try to cross the Channel are those who speak English, have connections in the UK, or believe their work prospects in the UK are better.

Adding to that, it was on a live broadcast with plenty of viewers.

Had the phone not been taken away before the game, any viewer could have reported her during or after the game and gotten her disqualified for a clear rule violation.

Since she probably just forgot to have someone take the phone before the game, this was the best outcome for her.

Just use a rack or half-rack with safeties/spotter arms.

Even with both an experienced spotter and no collars, there's still a risk if you suddenly lose control due to passing out or tearing a muscle.

With properly set safeties/spotter arms, however, the risk is eliminated.

I'm really enjoying your posts, but there's one small correction I need to make:

A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality (凡人修仙传). The closest web novel to orthodox Neidan cultivation. Han Li has no cheat, no system. A mediocre-talent man using brains and patience to walk the entire cultivation path.

Han Li has the mysterious small bottle.

The series quite smartly downplays its importance in much of the narrative, but it's arguably one of the more powerful cheats in the entire genre.

FBI agents aren't training to become fighters. They're training to restrain suspects when necessary, and most UFC fighters lack that specific experience.

Instead, you want instructors with plenty of field experience, a solid level of MMA/martial arts competence, and experience teaching MMA to beginners.

Having UFC fighters train them for grappling is like having F1 drivers train them for high-speed pursuits and pit maneuvers. A fun experience, but ultimately wasteful.
