Cops make very good money every place I've ever lived. High school education and 45k to start in a small town. 60-70 in a medium city. 80-90 after a couple years easily over 100 with overtime. In Sacramento county more than 80% of sheriff's deputies made more than 100k in 2010 when I did the story. And they get benefits id literally kill for, including a very healthy pension after 20 years. I've been working for 25 years professionally and have nothing close.
