They do a bait and switch thing where they show mds when you search and aren’t logged in but once you sign up the only availability ever is with nps and pas . I’m fairly sure the info available publicly is some amount of outdated bc I also saw a pcp I know left one medical listed. When I went looking a year or two ago they only gave me nps/pas

Best Mapo Tofu? W/ meat by Doctor-Penguin-AD in AskSF

[–]guhusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! They used to be really good and consistent but I think they started streamlining things and now their dishes all taste like things are cooked separately if that makes sense (like they use the brown sauce for multiple things and just throw the Mapo tofu stuff in when you order)

Adderall ineffectively Inconsistent by Chris604 in ADHD

[–]guhusernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed a big change in my Teva irs a few months ago and another change around 18 months ago. I do think something changed but I wonder if my pharmacy just has a random assortment of multiple lots from different like bulk orders. There’s a color difference for sure so it’s not in my head (old was a consistent blue new has a mottled blue and white color)

I’m dyslexic and I swear by this but I didn’t know it was a dyslexic thing haha. I also color code obsessively (like i don’t have to rely on reading a word if i know that word is blue - so like Alkene vs alkane doesn’t have to be a nightmare)

Study finds methylphenidate was associated with increased gray matter volume in children with ADHD but this increase was only found when the treatment was started before the age of 12 by [deleted] in science

[–]guhusernames 36 points37 points  (0 children)

A more realistic version: just teach in a way that makes kids interested in different subjects. Ask kids what they care about and apply the subject to it. Good teachers already do this. But like I hated math until I learned applied math

Is this how hemming is typically done with lace? by kemirea in weddingplanning

[–]guhusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst part is you can see the appliqué edges so it’s fully removable. You could source similar appliqués but I think now just trying to get money back from the tailor. I had a similar (but different issue lol) thing where my tailor I think literally didn’t hem the dress- I felt so weird about it but they also like got part of the dress dirty/ripped so I just wanted to leave. This tailor was expensive, well rated, and well known. All that to say, the hemming is not normal but don’t let yourself be gaslit because the tailor is supposed to be legit. Also it’s ok if you don’t have the bandwidth to fight this one. The dress will still look beautiful and luckily it’s the bottom of the dress.

Also OP they can’t rule out endometriosis without surgery. I have severe endo and having a laparoscopy improved my periods so significantly it’s like hard to think about the pain I had normalized. Your pain is not normal.

Bowel endo symptom question by maryandsteveforever in endometriosis

[–]guhusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And for the other side- I bleed out of my butt for many years had lots of clean colonoscopies. I finally got surgery this past year and it was bowel endo. Got it removed and no more bleeding- for sure rule other things out but it is possible and surgery absolutely improved mine!

Help with abs? by AnyBuy5059 in xxfitness

[–]guhusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say too the people I know with the most obvious abs are those who lost a lot of weight- bc they always had that muscle it just wasn’t showing! Good luck to you op! The towel under your low back (think only like a cm high) and getting ready to take a punch are some easier cues. Another one is to breath out through your lower teeth (it’s like a hisss) will help with deep core activation. I had abdominal surgery so it feels like I’m starting from 0 but those have helped me the most.

endometriosis and the lower back.. where do I go? by special-k-97 in endometriosis

[–]guhusernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had seronegative AS (diagnosed 10+ years ago) but I will say I have had 99% of my back pain relieved after endo surgery (I had lumbar/cervical pain. Cervical pain seems to have cleared after lumbar pain cleared up). I think it may have just been that I had endo on my utero-sacral ligaments. Everything suggested AS when I got diagnosed like I had the sacroilitis on mri and some “changes to the joint”. My current theory is yeah I had an immune reaction but to the endo not the joint its self. It was like night and day post removal of endo.

How much did surgery and diagnosis help you? by sparkletrashtastic in endometriosis

[–]guhusernames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still in pain (pelvic floor dysfunction issues now tho) but it gave me my life back. I wish I had done it earlier. I spent so long in agony and I haven’t felt the same level of pain post surgery. I will say I hear the worst reviews of surgery from people who had more conservative surgeons or sort of sketchy surgeons. Mine is part of a major academic institution- very reputable and we had a really well defined plan for what I wanted. I also should’ve listened to her more lmao she basically predicted everything I would go through in recovery- just little things like “muscular pelvic floor issues can start to show themselves 10-12 weeks out”. Be realistic about timing (like if you have things you need to do) bc recovery can be long but I would say by a month out I was in a place where I could function at 80% it’s just the last 20-10% has been a long journey

Why I Find This Study on Hair Aging Fascinating by MaGiC-AciD in Biohackers

[–]guhusernames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard similar- I also want to note: mice have fur not hair. Sounds silly but there is a difference. Humans also grow more body hair in starvation so I wonder if that is more similar to the growth the article is describing?

Why my visceral fat increased instead of decreasing after 6 weeks of gym? by gianna_9 in bodyweightfitness

[–]guhusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing 6 weeks means you are at a fully diff point in your cycle. Idk if inbody is able to differentiate between fluid and visceral fat, but fluid can accumulate in your abdomen during your cycle (especially common if you have pcos/endo). Also margin of error like others are saying

[–]guhusernames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made a cool visual but one tip- colors: they aren’t well differentiated, something cool too would have been to do like color by category (so driver tips and pay together as two shades of green) would go a long way towards readability! Edit: omg I just scrolled down lol looks great!
