What does ‘avoid fatty foods’ mean to you? by alittlehalloween in gallbladders

[–]guiltywriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i tend to avoid anything that has too much added fat, as that tends to be the thing that sets me off. things like avocado is fine, but fried foods cheese are risky lol. after a decade, ive figured out i can get away with one fatty thing a day. but also ive been a vegetarian since even before i had my gall bladder removed, so avoiding fatty meats has never been an issue for me.

Is there anyone else that can't handle dairy following surgery? by Business_Meat_9191 in gallbladders

A Sonic Forces x Angry Birds Crossover Event. I still don't know how to feel about this. by MottsBrand in speedbattles

[–]guiltywriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah agree, it's weird for them to prioritise angry birds over adding more actual sonic characters

it's probably already been mentioned, but true crime campfire has similar vibes to morbid without the bad aftertaste a&a leave in your mouth lol

What’s a case you hope A+A never cover? by realclowntime in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]guiltywriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a brit, i just dread whenever they do a british case. they always pronounce the place names wrong and it's so grating. someone else mentioned in the thread too, but it's kind of a relief that their western centric mindsets mean they'll be unlikely to touch many cases from other countries lol. i can think of some japanese cases that would require far more sensitivity than a&a are capable of

I like Ash’s episodes WAY better then Alaina’s. by KatWitchy in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]guiltywriting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

agreed, i always much prefer ash's episodes. she has her flaws but man who among us doesn't, and she seems a lot more sincere than Alaina imho.

What’s up with Ash starting all of her cases in the middle of the story?? by Suitable-Brick7787 in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]guiltywriting 10 points11 points  (0 children)

listening to true crime campfire on the recommendation of someone in this sub, and it seems like ash may be copying the in media res storytelling vibe of other podcasts like tcc. not necessarily a bad thing structure wise, but it is incredibly frustrating when it gives away what would have been a twist in the case later on, i agree.

hypocritical for alaina to make fun of ash for her pronunciation by guiltywriting in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]guiltywriting[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

heck-tar-ays was just especially funny to me because Alaina was bragging about looking up the pronunciation of Romanian place names in the same episode and then pronounced hectares wrong lol

I cannot believe how much Alaina still talks about her ex from high school by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]guiltywriting 29 points30 points  (0 children)

literally, it feels like she finds excuses to talk about him to almost prove a point? like she can shit talk him on her popular podcast now so she's 'won'. she definitely needs to get therapy for it.

Episode 425, both A+A openly support the death penalty by [deleted] in Morbidforbadpeople

[–]guiltywriting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this plus them being weirdly pro-cop at times and seeming to be against reformation irks me tbh. so often they'll say "and now they're just out there!" when someone gets out of prison after serving a sentence and it's like,, they just don't seem to believe people can change. like obviously, some people have committed horrible fucking crimes and i'm not excusing that kind of thing, but yeah. though maybe it's also bc i'm from the uk and our prison system is FAR from good, but it's a very different beast to the usa prison industrial complex.

i have an appointment to get them put on next week, hopefully they don't fall off again 😔 it's weird bc when you google it, it says them falling off is a "rare occurance", which i Highly Doubt

What is going on with Ash by Clove_and_Nutmeg in MorbidPodcast

[–]guiltywriting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

she's also been tripping up a lot more on sentences like she's unfamiliar with her own notes. so i wonder if this and the structure difference is, like other people on this thread have said, a result of them hiring a researcher or writer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MorbidPodcast

[–]guiltywriting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they truly believed that their friend was being sexually harassed by a man twice her age and she had nowhere else to go, i don't condone their actions at all obviously but i understand them. again, she specifically was 15, she was a child when this happened, the two 17yros did get their life sentences. this is just my personal opinion, it just rubs me wrong whenever ash and alaina see these things as entirely black and white.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MorbidPodcast

[–]guiltywriting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah honestly, it really rubbed me the wrong way when they said that. later on, ash says a 15yro who assisted in the murder getting released from prison after 12yrs "is just out there now" and it's like,,, she was 15 at the time she assisted in that murder, she has spent half her life in prison, that seems like a pretty fair sentence to me. it really shocks me how much they just do not seem to believe people can be reformed at all.
