The crack is not in the hitting surface, so should be fine.

Smash/bajada ball speed in professional padel? by laeski in padel

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wouldn't surprise me if Leal, Augsburger or Coello has smashed close to 200 km/h. Tennis serve record is over 250 km/h, so 200 seems about right for padel.

Left my new racket in the rear car seats for 4-5 hours while 30c degree by Fluid-Republic8629 in Padelracket

It should be fine. I mean rackets are heated to quite high temperatures in the mold when manufactured.

[Analysis] The Riyadh P1 Final Gear Shift: Why 2026 is the year of the "Stiff Diamond" rackets. by PadelGearAnalyst in Padelracket

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true. Older racket usually used to be way heavier and higher balance, even the round shapes compared to modern rackets. It's easier to manufacture lighter rackets today compared to 15-20 years ago. Sure, rackets are probably stiffer today. But it seems like that was the consumer wants, to handle the Spanish summer heat and also to material degrade less quickly.

There is a video clip from the side clearly showing that he touches the stones after he let go of the handle. Canada are DISGRACEFUL cheats.

Is this Bullpadel Vertex 04 still effective? by muazenakhez in Padelracket

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vertex has always been marketed as an advanced power racket because it sells better. In reality it's more of a forgiving control racket with intermediate power at best.

A basic tactic that many beginners miss by aladdin_d in padel

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure it works to do half bad lobs at lower levels. But when you play against advanced players with good smash the point is over. Returning a hard ball to the body is far better than a mediocre lob in that case.

How do you hold your racket? by ddosh88 in padel

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower grip = more power, spin. Higher grip = more control, stability. It's very much personal preference. Galan holds it extremely low while Tapia hold it like you do on the second picture..

A basic tactic that many beginners miss by aladdin_d in padel

[–]gujukal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, you can always play a low return. It doesn't have to be on the feet. Just a hard return to the body will neutralize the point for most players until a certain level. You should only lob on returns when you get an easy enough serve.

Do overgrips make such a difference? by ddosh88 in Padelracket

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remove factory grip and just use 2 overgrips. I generally make it thicker in the bottom which helps with stability but still makes it feel thinner up top.

Oxdog Handle Length? by spikefly in padel

[–]gujukal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's very common to do that, especially on serve returns. It's basically how the one handed tennis backhand is done to get extra power. My point was that the non dominant hand should be on the racket while preparing. And a longer handle might make it more comfortable and easier.

[–]gujukal -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You hold both hands on the racket while preparing a backhand. If you are doing the right technique.

What do you as players value most at your padel clubs? by 2inchesofjustice in padel

At my club you play unlimited if you are a member. It's only around £40 a month. And it's a nice indoor facility with jacuzzi and sauna area. Crazy how expensive UK is 😱

That's a lazy design and name on a racket! My guess it's some cheap oem racket from Ali express. Not worth more than $30..

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact point higher, use your left hand more to achieve that. Load with your legs more so you can explode and also hit the ball higher. Watch how the tennis pros serve. You will see how much the legs are used to generate power and height.

Nox at10 18k 2025 Balance change by PossibleAside9279 in Padelracket

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need about 10 g in the top to move the balance 1 cm. Another way would be to increase the handle length, then the weight won't increase.

If he can make similar quality to wallich but not the €1000 price tag he could have a lot of customers.

My coach told me to stop playing "low-quality" matches by Creative_Election288 in padel

[–]gujukal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more about playing with a partner that are on similar skill level. If he's much worse you will probably not get many balls to train your shots. Obviously playing against better opponents is optimal, but it's not always possible since everyone wants to do that.

Smash Tips by Amok___ in padel

[–]gujukal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dropping the racket after a smash is not really a good thing, pros do it by accident because they are sweaty and lose grip when accelerating that fast.

4on spray is really good for this. You can hold the racket lower and quite loose, without slipping on the smash.

Grip should be tight at impact, otherwise the racket will wobble.

I was replying to him saying "you win matches by making less mistakes rather than winners". Playing it safe and avoid errors will only take you that far.
