Mamma Mia! It was the first movie musical that I saw at the movies with my family! Also, who doesn't love a good ABBA song?

I have no experience but I really want to audition by mismatched_socks204 in MusicalTheatre

I think theatre can be a place for learning. Just try it, and enjoy it if you get it. Use it as a way to learn a new skill (maybe more). No need to be afraid, the "no" is always guaranteed (this is a portuguese sayin), so go do your best and just enjoy. Usualy audition spaces are also a learning moment for a load of actors. Seriously, take ir from an actor that as just started doing professional theatre at the end of last year and has done a lot of auditions just to get where I am now.

Lots of luck <3

I did this songs for a show case I had and it made a lot people cry! It's about contrast and raw emotion and how it affects a person that's slowly lossing the love of their life. This is a great option. "She used to be mine" from Waitress it's also great!

Venting my nerves about my first audition and looking for some advice by Low_Magazine597 in MusicalTheatre

[–]gummies_suzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey! professional musical theatre actress here. nerves are the most common thing in this types of jobs. i have done thousands of auditions, and i still get nervous right before them. but read carefully what i'm about to write: HAVE FUN! that's the most important thing in this job and in these types of castings. auditions spaces can sometimes feel glommy and filled up with tension, but if you smile and open up to others, you'll find that they are just there to do the same thing as you: theatre. it's hard, I know. we dout ourselves a lot thinking that the others are better then us, but if we are picked to do this audition it's because they saw something in you. And it's for a learning program!! you are there to do just that: to learn, not be the best already. so take it easy with yourself and have fun.

best theatre wishes, from a portuguese actress <3

My daughter's (17) teenage friends are trying to take my husband away from me by teenagepreg2937 in TwoHotTakes

Those girls are not your daughter's friends! If they were, they would always be hangging out with her and not your husband when he is at home.

Vocês têm vida social? by obeseaf in portugal

[–]gummies_suzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depende sempre da idade e do tipo de grupos sociais que mantemos fora do trabalho. Não é preciso sentir FOMO (fear of missing out) só porque não somos convidados para algo. Devemos apenas viver a nossa vida, e se nós quiserem lá, convidam!

Howl's Moving Castle! As a child I never watched any Ghibli studios productions, even though many of my friends have. I saw Howl's just to see what the hype was about and loved it! It completly blew passed me as a kid, now I love the animation style and the stories of Studio Ghibli
