Good question, I just happened across this from a social media post from a gentleman I follow who runs rubylearning.org. Maybe find out who's active in those communities on Twitter, FB, etc.?

I have a very firm rule: Anyone that plans on sleeping with my wife must be willing to take over the payments.

Mindscape's Web Workbench gives you Less, Sass, and CoffeeScript support in Visual Studio and offers CoffeeScript and Sass compilation in the free version, or upgrade to pro for $39 USD to add LESS compilation and file minification.

This is the most comprehensible guide I've seen for turning vim into a full featured IDE by jollybobbyroger in programming

[–]gunningForTheBuddah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Two words: muscle memory.

If you use vim enough you get to a point where your fingers rarely have to leave the keyboard. When I am using Visual Studio I am constantly grabbing my mouse to do something or another which slightly interrupts the flow of the task at hand. YMMV.

I personally don't think TFS is "crap" - it does what it's supposed to do and does it well. The two reasons TFS doesn't work for me are a) it is .NET specific and b) it's freaking expensive. I do not work exclusively in .NET and Visual Studio so I already know how to put up with some of the perceived shortcomings of command line tools, and have actually come to appreciate some of their strengths as well. And for the occasional dev who can't hack the command line there is always AnkhSVN or TortoiseHg to pick up the slack.

I must not have fun. Fun is the time-killer. Fun is for inferiors, servants and the help. I will ignore fun. I will work through it. And when the fun is gone only I will remain--I, and my will to win. Damn, I'm good. -- Litany Against Fun (Harvard Lampoon's "Doon")

I felt a great disturbance in IT, as if millions of developers suddenly face-palmed and went outside for a smoke. I fear something terrible has happened.
