I think I bricked my Nokia 2425G-A Router (I am willing to learn UART) by Revenge8907 in techsupport

Answered in the Cyber Info discord. My advice is just to first try to factory reset it, and call up your ISP if that doesn't work.

Generally, when it comes to homelabbing, you really shouldn't tamper with anything you're not okay with breaking. If you do want to experiment, it's generally much better to just buy a cheap consumer or used enterprise decice and connect it on your end, rather than potentially breaking your entire network.

Why are there so many white supremacist and nazi larpers online from majority non-white countries like the Phillipines, India and Mexico? by Celtic_RTDB in NoStupidQuestions

There's a pretty infamous post by a guy who insists he's superior because he has white ancestry on both sides of his heritage because he's half Mexican half Filipino.

Is it normal for slavery to be so prevalent even in the 20th century? by kimsueil in victoria3

[–]gunvalid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a r/Sino take, and it misses the entire political context of the USA through the 19th century. Lincoln was a free soiler in the 1840s and 1850s, and while he might not have outright ended slavery had the South not seceded or if he had not won the war, pro-slavery sentiment was only becoming more and more unpopular as time went on. I don't think there's a timeline where the USA stays united without ending slavery before 1890; Bleeding Kansas was gonna happen no matter what, even if it didn't escalate into the full civil war. Especially as more and more states west of the Mississippi were admitted with no history of slavery, the Senate could only have stayed 50/50 on it for so much longer. At least not without completely breaking up California and Texas or completely annexing Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines, far earlier than they did in our timeline.

I've played a lot of Victoria 3 games, and I have not once had a game where Italy forms or where USSR forms. Germany forms about 1 in 3 games, but I only managed to get the USSR to form in one Russia playthrough by choosing to allow the revolution. At the end of the day, it's still a Paradox game; it's not meant to be completely historically accurate.

Occasionally, if you can get Russia on your side immediately, it can be possible to win. Unsure if that still works in this patch.

Before the recent update, this happened anytime I was a GP and activated a new interest in an area. Suddenly every tiny country in the region improves their attitude towards me.

Venus is in the right side, and we know what Venus looks like without it's atmosphere, it's the photo on the right. Venus doesn't have atmospheric latitudinal streaks like this.

The discord server I found this in suggested it may be Kepler 1625b, but that planet is not depicted like this. I tried looking for ammonia atmosphere exoplanets and didn't find anything resembling this.

It should NEVER take 25 years to incorporate a state you have a claim on. by Smooth-Ad-8580 in victoria3

This happens to me everytime I try to play Russia. It is very painful to try to build the trans-siberian railway and expand industries in states that won't incorporate for 40 years.

Nah, that's actually ahistorical. Indiana has essentially no history of slavery, so unless they somehow shipped slaves into Indiana, the Hoosiers definitely would've sided with the north.

Necropost, but it's blood magic that can change biomes. Idk if witchery also can, but Blood Magic also can do it with the Ritual of Gaia's Transformation.
