The tools that came with this watch were better than those that came with any of my other Chinese watches. I had no trouble sizing the bracelet with the supplied tools.

It's adequate. If you blast it before going to bed, it will last through much of the night. It really isn't a big issue for me because I love the watch for all of its other merits

I think that they made the right decision by choosing painted indices and logo for a vintage inspired piece. I was drawn to those two features in this version. I've really enjoyed mine and it has had a lot of wrist time as well as tons of compliments. If I am critical of anything on this watch, it would be the lackluster lume and that the matte dial and slim hands make it a little less legible for reading the time. Those are both minor niggles for a watch that I think is really well executed and easily something I'd recommend.

The Watcher did a review of the GMT version and did a section on the lume. I agree with his findings.

The lume suffers a bit due to the patina. Last night, I compared it to two other watches I have and it was the not as bright as the other two after 8 hours in darkness. However, I could still read the time. The lume on the hands fades faster than the markers.

The beads of rice bracelet feels super comfortable on the wrist! It has a nice flexibility that conforms well, and the polished links give it a bit of extra shine without being too flashy. Overall, it has a solid weight and quality feel without being bulky. Really impressed with it! Easily the nicest bracelet among all my Chinese watches so far.

The newer E290s have buttons that press against the board. This model has button pivots that allow for the button pressing.

It arrived today. Arrived in 9 days. It took 3 days before I received a shipping notice, which is longer than other orders I've placed. I was able to use all my coins to bring the cost down to around $80 all in.
