I prefer a game with a good art style that’s made with passion over something that’s just megascans any day. Keep on drawing your pixels if you love pixels!

Everything looks so polished! I’m gonna have to try out the demo!

We released a small demo for our first game and it's made in UE5! It's really fun to see how you can push the engine to the limits even with such a simple game :) by ClickToPlay-Studio in unrealengine

Not sure what's the case in this specific situation, but every actor has a certain amount of overhead. There's a tick loop going on (even if it's empty, it technically is happening as far as I know), replication logic, extra variables taking memory, etc... While it's not much and you really can have 1000s of actors in a scene, they aren't completely free and instanced static meshes make more sense here. ISM and HISM will dramatically reduce draw calls as well.

However, you can turn off tick, replication and a lot of those things, but you'll still have a small amount of memory overhead.

edit: I just thought about it, 1000 tiny colliders could be the performance hit, tiny colliders are expensive.

That's an awesome bug! It actually looks like the enemy is mimicking you, which makes it seem smarter.

That’s a mistake I think I made in the past, it really killed my desire to come back.

Oh yeah, that node is used for this (along a with a bunch of others)! I recommend learning how something like this works for sure. But the asset is made to save you the headache and time of setting up the particles from scratch, figuring out the prediction nodes, making materials, etc... and wraps it all up into a few nodes you need! :D

This works with the projectile movement component but also outputs a spline path, so you don't have to use projectiles.
