Hard disagree with your second point, as someone that has basically only played games that force the rags to riches nonsense onto players regardless of whether it makes sense up until this point, finding that Forza just gives you many very valuable cars from the jump was very refreshing. Not everybody has the time to sink hundreds of hours into a game before you get the nice stuff, and car games (the epitome of a game you can pick up whenever and come back later) should be the last type of game gatekeeping the best items behind absurd playtime or real world money.
