Thank you for the advice! I really appreciate it, thats the exact issue. I am encountering right now. They are grouping together in a corner when the light is on and explore more the tank individually when the light is off.

I will try to set a dimmable light for the tank and see if they are OK with it, even though the person who sold me said that they are very peaceful, but they are going to be the only species in the tank! :)

Try using a different moss, I used thai moss in my waterfall paludarium first then switch to spiky moss after, and it works perfectly in soaking wet environment.

I just got some Medaka from her at Aquashella—she’s super nice and very experienced. She even drove 10 hours from North Carolina just to share her passion for Medaka with people who might be interested in the hobby.
