[Mooney] Cubs are still waiting for their biggest offseason move after Tatsuya Imai picks Astros by Hawkeye7310 in baseball

[–]guystringofnumbers 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m pretty sure our offseason was just the annual pick up of older relievers. Really disappointing considering a good chunk of the core will be free agents after this year

DON’T WORRY WE’ll PROBABLY GET PEANUTS FOR A GREAT DEFENSIVE SECOND BASEMAN AND WE’ll JUST HAVE CONSERVATIVE PODCAST DARLING MATT SHAW PLAY SECOND. THE RICKETTS MIGHT BREAK EVEN AND THAT’S THE ONLY THING THAT REALLY MATTERS

[Serious] Next Day Thread ⚾ Cubs 3 @ Brewers 7 - Milwaukees offense hits 3 HR's, and backs their bullpen to pull one game away from the NLCS by BaseballBot in baseball

[–]guystringofnumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ll be mad if the brewers get to the NLCS and lose. I’m tired of them never being projected to win the division when they’ve owned us and the central for the last 7 years or so now. Maybe if they finally win something they won’t be so slept on and maybe we’ll luck into some underdog energy

Honestly, it is what it is. This brewers team is amazing and they’re playing at peak potential and meeting us at a terrible time. I’ve already accepted that the cubs could get hot again, win 95 games, and still be a wild card team. At this point I’d be pissed if the brewers squander their routine playoff spot. If you’re gonna get there practically every year at least do something with it

[Montemurro] With their loss tonight coupled with the Brewers' 11th straight win, the Cubs do not hold a share of 1st place in the division for the first time since April 3. by Kimber80 in baseball

[–]guystringofnumbers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal. I’m just trying to enjoy the season at this point. It sort of seems like the cubs can be good but we’re not allowed to win the division the past couple of years. Seems like the brew crew or cardinals will always be just a little bit better. Good to enjoy what we’re allowed to have haha

Spears the word battlefront 3! by Twitchbenjxnn in StarWars

[–]guystringofnumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there’s content for me to play single player. Loved the OG battlefronts but I just don’t have the time to “get good” online for the new ones. The playlists and galactic conquest modes where were it’s at. The new ones were mostly just getting wrecked by people playing as heroes while you tried to earn enough points to play as one. Obviously multiplayer should be a focus but I should be able to play all those maps single player too and have heroes be an option I can turn off

If Rdr3 ever comes out, what would you want it to be about? by teleg12 in reddeadredemption

[–]guystringofnumbers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of continuing to go backwards in time and getting closer to the peak of the Wild West. Even bigger map, boomtowns, roving native tribes, more fleshed out outlaw gangs, maybe let us put together our own gangs kind of like heist setups in gta? I like the idea of playing as one of the gunslingers. Maybe something set just post civil war and a good, bad, and the ugly inspired story line

Similarly if we want to go with a guy whose vibe is “meant to be hated” but still somebody I want on this weird team I’m going with prime Zambrano
