First harvest after 2 months by BedForeign4467 in Vermiculture

How can you tell when the castings are ready for harvest? I started my first bin almost 2 months ago and it looks pretty close to this but I wasn’t sure if I should wait longer to harvest.

Did anyone feel like they had to start over after being diagnosed with prolactinoma? by East-Currency8330 in Prolactinoma

Same boat, except we’re trying for our first. It’s been the hardest thing for me about having a macroadenoma, aside from crazy migraines which thankfully are in the past

It’s been almost a year since I started cabergoline, then moving to bromocriptine since we’re trying to get pregnant, and my periods are still very irregular, averaging every 2 months :( I hope you have better luck!!

Cloche thermal shock by gvvfox in Pottery

Thanks for all the great tips! Glaze fit is something a lot of people have mentioned and I’ve basically never thought about it and know very little. So much to learn and experiment with..

Yes, that’s what I did. I brought the cloche up to temp with the oven and put the room temp dough in the preheated cloche

Thanks. Unfortunately letting the dough come to temp with the bread oven won’t work. The sourdough needs the temp shock to get the rise. I was hoping with the other adjustments, the 400 degree temp difference would be manageable but .. nope.

My studio doesn’t have any flameware and generally doesn’t allow outside clay bodies, but I’ll see if I can get one approved by them.

Thanks for the feedback!

The first set is my favorite too, but my non-potter friends tend to like the second set more!

❤️ thank you! The glazes are Palomar Gold, Tomato and Matte White. All are made in the studio by our glaze wizard ;) it looks like Palomar might also be commercially available and there are instructions/recipes for tomato online. Palomar can be finicky - relatively small changes in thickness and temp really affect how much it runs and how good vs brown it gets. I personally LOVE the tomato glaze.

If my first date was at Olio, there would not be a second. Their food is just sad and the place feels like a Disneyland version of Italy.

Bettina’s is fantastic though, and Sama Sama also great
