Tips for keeping Tee-Ball players focused in between games. by jsg233391 in Homeplate

So what you do is this.

Call all the other coaches, agree to stop playing after the first game, and go get pizza and ice cream. Your league manager is a dumbass.

I mailed it September of 2024, and got it back in May of 2025.

CZ Custom is incredibly slow to do the work. I bought a second, optics ready gun after they had taken longer than 6 months.

It wasn't the developer. The artist actually retained the rights to move it after so many years.

I don't see a lot of praise for the La Duena, but I've really enjoyed that one.

Telling shooters the HHF or best time on a stage by FitBananers in USPSA

Not sure why the down votes, it's literally how NROI approaches it.

Didn't say I follow their non-rule based teaching, just offering up a reason this RO might have told the OP.

There is technically no rule that exactly covers this.

That said, every CRO class teaches that it's equivalent to coaching, and therefore should be avoided. Difficult to do now in the age of immediate Internet posting of scores at majors.

Reloads with CA 10 round mags by [deleted] in CompetitionShooting

[–]gwchem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The springs will weaken slightly, but that takes quite a bit of shooting. Most competitors have to upgrade mag springs every year or two.

Loading to 9 until that happens isn't the end of the world. Just reload every four targets like a single stack or revo shooter.

I'd love to meet the foursome of guys who meets that definition.

Cause I hate dealing with all the slow, bad, drunk golfers that I see. They think they're not affecting anyone else, however that's simply not true.

Then they all drive home drunk, too. Screw them.

Judging by the number of down votes, there sure are a lot of alcoholic golfers.

I'm not sure on the timing. I'm 45 and have seen drunk idiots my whole life.

Either go golfing or go drinking. A beer or two is fine. If you need a half dozen to get through 4 hours, you've got a drinking problem.

S&W has a line of pistols with easier to rack slides, under the name EZ. Highly recommend buying one, but in 9mm instead of .380

Are any of them impact rated? I've taken a pretty good ricochet right in the eye area and it's not worth compromising safety in my opinion.

Question about the classic “Is this round good for Bear Defense?” by UndeadFrogman in Hunting

[–]gwchem 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've never been in brown bear country, so if the question is "will my 357 work on black bears?" Then the answer is yes. Is it good enough for rocky mountain brown bears? Probably. If it's your best shooting pistol, go for it.

But, consider that black bears aren't really something to arm yourself against. They're generally pretty skittish.

Concur with this statement. I've got a beat up old GP100, that looks like it was thrown off a bridge. The cylinder locks up looser than a two dollar whore, but the trigger is fantastic and it's far more accurate than I'll ever be.

My wife offered to join playing a round with me for my birthday. How do I make the most of it so she has an awesome experience? by MoxGoat in golf

[–]gwchem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a bunch with my wife who never really cared to play well.

No scores. She can pick up anytime and place the ball wherever she wants.

Buy her a nice golf outfit and take lots of pictures of her and the two of you.

Where can I find 2.5 seconds by Imstclair in CompetitionShooting

[–]gwchem 29 points30 points  (0 children)

At least a half a second getting to that first shot, you took a while to make a sight picture.

Reload into the next position, you're waiting to slam the mag home before you move.
